:rasta:Good Day :rasta:
I am looking after 46 plants that are into 5 week of flower. Using Sunshine# 1,
PH 6.3 EC 196. Fert Fish Emolusion. 3 - 1000 HPS. Lots of air in and out. circulatining fan running 24/7. Lights are 12/12 now.
The past month I had to deal with a Nute problem fixed with epsom salts. Prior to the nute problem I noticed that at times there was a fine white powder on some of the leaves. I can wipe the powder off the leaves, however it will not wash off with fine spray.
Any Idea's???

Did you check if it's a hermie? It could be pollen... :(
Let's hope that my guess is a bad one...

Sounds like white powder mold. I see it here. If it get loose in your room you're screwed. I use 1 teaspoon baking soda to 16 oz water and a drop or two of detergent to keep in in check. Spray the shit out of the plant. You will not get rid of the white powder but you can keep it from spreading.

I agree with the powder mildew theory--that crap can ruin your day ! Hope it isn't pollen or mildew dude--keep up the good work and good luck ! When I grew on the coast and Ohio, mildew was a constant problem--keep a good watch eye man.:hippy:

:thumbsup:Thanks for the replys. It is not pollen that is for sure plants has hudge buds on it.
I should have mentioned the plants were in flower right now and have been for 5 weeks. I am getting awesome buds, in spite of the nute burn problem and this white powder.
I will try the mix and spray real well and then when I am finished flowering I will bleach room and repaint, just to be sure get rid of it all.
Does anyone know where it comes from how do I get it in the first place. I keep a very clean shop.
This white powder has not effected the bud production, at least i do not think so.
Will keep you posted.

i have had the powdered mold problem in the past. My last grow I had 3 querkles and 3 blue dreams. I noticed all 3 of the querkles had this white powder on the leaves. Only on the tops, underneath the leaves looked healthy. I kept them in there since I was unsure. Then one of the querkles got root rot and had to be pulled. So that left the 2 querkles. They were looking good...great bud density and aroma. about one week before harvest they dried up....just literally shriveled on the plant over night. It was the craziest thing. Not sure if it was caused by powdered mold or not, but just letting you know to look into options to prevent this. I was out 3 plants cause of it....and it sucks when you put it all that time and effort!
but my blue dreams came out perfectly even though they were in the same closet....I highly recommend those plants for beginners or even pros....such a good plant!
