I am about to start growing legally in California and plan on making some of the best crops. How do I find the co-ops to distribute and donate to?
Any information in this abominable economy would help.
Thanks everyone:)

So far it seems like you need to have a 501c3 nonprofit corp., possibly lots of patients who signed a statement that you are their caregiver (renewed yearly), a District Atty. on your side or at least the local sheriff. There is a bit of grey area whether or not you can have recommendations out of the county you grow in. Ample security and of course the rest of the 501c3 regulations. Oh yeah, a very precise paper trail concerning the money.
But...people obviously sell their extra medicine to clubs, so you can go to one, show them a pound or an ounce of hash and see what they think. If they like, you can be registered as a vendor, and be reported to the IRS in the form of a 1099. Both quasi legal so far?

Sjg1948 the information given by GroBig is not accurate. The first thing you should do is read and understand the laws regarding medical marijuana in California-- Senate Bill 420, Prop 215 and the Attorney General's Guidelines.
Most medical marijuana businesses in California are not 501c3 non-profits, and and are not set up as co-ops. A co-op is a very specific kind of business structure that is very complicated. Most medical marijuana businesses in California are set up as collectives, not as structured.
If you are interested in learning how to start medical marijuana business -- retail and/or wholesale -- Hempgard University (http://www.hempgarduniversity.com) is an online medical marijuana college offering excellent affordable online medical marijuana business training.
