Hi there! Has anyone tried Delta9's Bruce Banner? Wow, it's some of the tastiest nugs in this State. Very impressed guys, very impressed.
Regardless of the fact it kicked ass at the caregiver's cup late last year, it's excellent top (and I MEAN TOP!) quality herb, among my favorites. I can only imagine how good some of J's other strains are  Here is my take on the Bruce Banner #1, which will appear in the new Patient's Guide Colorado magazine later this month... click to enlarge the macro shot and really see the Hulk inside!!!

I think it's pretty hard to get... sells out pretty fast, but I think I read in the D9 thread that they're doubling production of it or something, so that'll be sweet. When I was in there the guy said to just call in and check every so often.
I was lucky enough to see BB on the shelves on my first trip into D9 awhile ago. It was really good herb! It had a really unique taste that was definitely different from anything I've tried. That dude can really be proud of his creation!!
Also, am I mistaken or did I see that some other dispenaries out there have Banner? No doubt it's probably the best from D9 though!! I probably wouldn't even bother with it from anywhere else.
EDIT: I tried Banner #3. I thought that was the award-winning one...

Thanks for the kind words.... Delta9 is the only place to get Bruce Banner.. a few have tried to "fake it"..
I will be releasing the clone on christmas 2010 for free to all..
New projects :
Purple Banner ( Deep purple x Banner #3)
Cough Bannner (ft collins Cough x Banner #3)
Triesel Banner (AnnaC Triesel x Banner #3)
The Bruce Banner #1 did win the caregivers cup but the Bruce Banner #3 is way better...IMO

Can't wait to try the Banner #3, as I've heard great things. I wish the shop was closer to me, but I just have to check your place out soon.
The Triesel would blend in genetically well.

I'm sorry to say it, but a lot of those strains(at least 5) did not look very finished at all. I saw a majority of clear tricomes with the scattered cloudy. Looks good and the strains are legit, just need to wait a bit longer IMO.

I have tried Banner's #1, #3 and #5, hands down 3 is the best and I think #1 and #5 are tied. In my opinion any Banner is good and you won't be disappointed. Delta 9 has in my opinion the best quality for the best price to date.

Ok guys, working hard on this project....and as some of you know, the entire thing was an accident, yet luckily, no hermies or male flowers have arrived.
Anyway, at the flowering time of the Cough in which the seeds were found, the only other strain in the garden was BB#3...It had several male flowers, and weeks after harvest 3 seeds were found in some cough.
Anyway, started all 3, with all 3 being female, and healthy, and was hoping for something with the vigor, yield, and haziness of the cough when it was healthy, and the flavor, and THC count of the Banner.
In veg, 2 looked similar throughout, with one looking a little stockier, having more indica traits, and purple stems, regardless of what was done to them in terms of temperature or feeding...It was shwing mostly indica traits and the other two were showing pretty typical hybrid traits....just numbered them 1, 2, and 3.....with 3 being the Indica pheno (at the time).
Vegged them really big, took cuts of all, without really even knowing whether we were gonna ever flower the seedlings....ended up being some extra space in the garden and they all were flipped.
The #3 was flipped first....and the 1 and 2, 10 days later.
With a slight bit of giving us a hard time at the onset of flowering, they all grew nice and bushy into the scrog...
(got fed Age Old, with minimal supplementations of Liquid Karma, CalMag, Sucanat, and Hygrozyme....Lots...I repeat Lots of runoff with every feeding and every 3rd watering being just plain water....The supplements again are used in very small amounts and only as needed...typically, I stop all supplements 2 weeks before flush, and start flushing 14-21 days from harvest, depending on the strain)
The #3 had indica traits the whole way through flowering....not stretching too much, giving lots of early resin production, and giving off different smells that seemed to represent mostly OG Kush, Sour D, and Some NL...No haze or "cough"-like traits whatsoever..As the buds started to mature really quickly, we realized it was gonna be an ultra-short strain, and to flush at day 35...Seemed crazy but we were right (shoulda actually done it earlier)....By day 48, 1/3 of the crystals were opaque and the calyxes were completely as closed as can be, and we decided to pick it.....that was a few days ago.....as it dries and cures, the two strains that are really prevalent in it's smell and appearance are the NL#5 and the OG....The production was solid for a seed plant, not amazing, but the clone plant will really tell us the story...I have smoked some uncured pieces and it is incredibly potent (I am not a lightweight by any means) and lung expanding when smoked.....and very creamy/kushy tasting when vaporized, but this one really needs to cure....I would say the taste is right about 75% Northern lights, and 25% OG at this time....I'm normally not an Indica Lover, but I have a good feeling about this one.
The #1 and #2 are still in flowering, and are leaning much closer to the cough than the #3....They have big colas as the cough does, the size of a forearm (or 2).....They are much more typical Scrog plants and are really just now starting to pack on the crystal...I'm thinking at least 65-75 days on both.... The #2 also has a diesel-type smell, but you can definitely smell the cough in there....it kind of smells like chocolate in some way....But I'll know more in a week or two.....The #1 also has a similar smell to the cough at the same point in flower, but has a candyish, strawberry type smell as well.....again, gotta wait and see, and although I am so high (literally) on the #3 right now because it is done and has the impressive indica look, I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple weeks, I feel just as good if not better about the #1 and 2.
Maybe some will show up in Delta9 soon....

High there Sagemeister, warm welcome to the forum and thank you for this description... I think what we have here folks is the birth of a very interesting new strain. This is why I love Colorado, my friends, there's so many amazing genetics being worked (accidental or not) by those like our new friend here.
The plant evolves with us. She serves us, and we in turn, serve her by spreading her seeds. We give her everything she needs, and she us. We grow together.

I just wanted to say that I cannot stress the importance in starting bagseed, or just any random seeds you find in your bud...The whole "Breeding towards hermaphroditism" argument is way overblown....If you look around the world, most of the amazing clone only strains that we have were started out of random bagseed, or by a grower out of seeds found in his/her garden....Sometimes you know both parents, sometimes you don't even know one of them. I just wanted to say this, based on my most recent experimentation, and on my early growing history.
When I first started growing, I ONLY had bagseed to start with, and found some of the most exotic, and incrediblly potent cannabis I have ever seen...I had some males and some females, but no hermaphrodites....Of course, starting a strain, and starting a breeding project are two different things....It's one thing to pop bagseeds, hoping to have a killer strain, but it's another to then use that strain in future breeding projects.
Either way, I personally think the whole idea that starting bagseed is a waste of time or that you are gonna end up with all hermies is a bullshit idea started by the seed companies and the publications in which they advertise.
The extremely wide variety of DNA that you find in a a seed found in a bud is very vast....Currently, with the Cough-Banner, I am dealing with NL#5, Haze, OG Kush, Sour D, and Strawverry Cough....The possibilities are endless, and like I said, the #3 has almost ZERO Sativa traits, and most people wouldn't even believe me if I told them it came from a Cough seed. The other two look almost NOTHING like #3.
Seedbank seed is great, don't get me wrong. You can find exactly what you are looking for and get a pretty good idea of what you are going to get....Of course, some strains are more stabalized than others, but you still have a pretty good idea. However, when dealing with a F1 cross, you really never have any clue what you are going to get, and it's so much more fun and exciting to go down there everyday looking for new smells or other traits in a new strain.
I have been doing this for over 12 years, and everytime I start bagseed, or accidentally-made seeds from my garden, I am reminded of how important it is to do so....and again, I have never gotten a single hermaphrodite in doing this.
And yeah, the #3 is just about ready, but after what is kept for headsmoke, there will only be a small amount left to give out.. I will make sure that at least some crosses paths with Delta9.

^Nice! That is interesting! I've kept bagseed for the last 5 years of nothing but the finest stuff. Usually I'd find just a few seeds in an ounce (when they were there at all, but it was a rarity). But I have about 30 bag seeds saved up representing probably ~20 different strains. All of them from some of the best weed I've ever smoked.
I hope sometime I get the time/space to take a gamble on these!

Honestly, I wouldnt reccomend growing bagseed. Specially if your whole grow is set up towards the growth of bagseed, thats like taking your whole paycheck and buying lotto tickets instead of paying the rent.
The majority of seeds found in cannabis are normally from stress and are self pollinated, or another plant has hermaphrodite tendecys and has created a few nanners and those nanneres polinated the plants around it.
Then again, sometimes growers keep a few males around and pollen just happends to wonder on a bud or two and you will get some quality seeds.
But having grown so many packs of seeds from so many breeders and selected through hundreds of varieties at a time, I would rather work with breeder stock over random bagseed ANY day.
I have 25 strains in my motherroom right now, and not a single one of them are bagseed genetics...
I am anxiously waiting to see what this Bruce Banner looks like, I keep hearing alot about it, but have yet to see/smoke it....

I dunno....Based on the smoke, the yield, the taste, the aroma, and the exoticness (if that's a word), I feel like I have had just as good or better success with bagseed as I have with the dutch genetics that anyone can get......You start bagseed and you're gonna have something that nobody else has access to, and then spread it around and make everyone happy.
Again, most of the great clone-only strains in our scene were started out of bagseed.....Yes , it's a risk, but with risk comes reward......Or you can just grow the same dutch bullshit that everyone else is growing....Personally I think the Cough x Banner that I posted 2 posts ago is amazing cannabis....Plus, the plant yielded 10 ounces, with 3 other plants under the same 1000w. (The 3 other plants of Sage yielded 12 oz. each)
The Sage may be a dutch strain, but all her genetics are North American.
Either way, together, they yield 1.288 gpw and I am pretty happy with that.

if you can't see any hermie characteristics in the bagweed, then pop the bean. Mystery plants are FUN.. and who knows it may just be the next Chemdog or Bruce Banner or Coup de Grace. Keep the gene pool churning folks cause I'm starting to see the same buds at shop after shop.

20+ ppl waiting at 12pm and the guy on the phone didn't even know how much they were going to have, so you basically had to roll the dice to make the drive and see if you could get in to be seen and if so, would they still have any left. We do quarter limits on all in house strains like bruce banner because at our prices folks would buy us out in two customers without the limit. Once we get our ancillary operations running at full speed were definetely gonna remove the cap as well Also since the banner is an Og cross it usually only yields popcorn nugs nothing huge like mamasan or ISS

actually you normally don't have anything that is AS good as one of your banner strains, decent but not as good and can be found at many dispensaries. If the supply is so limited, maybe you could put some aside for your Primary patients, you know, the ones that signed over to you. Couple that with the price... why would I want to buy anything else you have? it will cost as much if not more and not be as good as the Banner patient price.
As far as Scottie's phone skills, I wasn't asking him to do algebra, I just asked how much you had gotten in and he couldn't even answer that so I wouldn't waste a trip down.
Folks only gonna wait in line for so long (Cabbage Patch Kids, Tickle Me Elmo, Pet Rocks) maybe I was just the first to stop...

Supposedly theres a guy in ft collins with the banner strain, claims he got it as a gift from California, he has no credibility though. He likes telling people his plants are bug free and then you get a BIG SURPRISE. It's not easy inspecting soil and plants when your dumb enough to buy them strictly off seeing pictures. Yeah I bought them concealed in trash bags to keep their light cycle intact! He has top shelf meds but its hard to believe he grew them with the bug infestation he passed on to me.

I picked up some of the Banner from Cam last week and I really liked it. I was hoping they still had some when I went back yesterday but it was all gone. Picked up some great K1, Blue dream and Ingrid though.
The CAM banner wrecked me and I am a very heavy smoker. Kind of a fruity/blueberry smell with very big expansion. Not sure if this was the real deal banner but great smoke none the less! Reminds me a little of a Bio/Blueberry strain I have gotten at SECAM and also back in the day in Fort Collins while in college. One of my favs!
