3rd grow here... this time I am using a 42inX42inX78in growtent.... 400W HPS with a carbon filter and inline fan sucking air out. Temp is around 75-80 humidity around 27-41%.
I have no idea what happened... the bottom leaves are starting to brown and not turn into blades... I can't tell what is wrong with them. I am not overwatering.. have not added nutes yet... they are only around 3 weeks old... using my own soil (never had problems before) and on another plant im using happy frog soil. could someone please give me some advice on what to do to hedge this problem... or is it ok??? Im not very happy with the growtent as of now... I have never had problems in the past.
Maybe this problem will correct itself when i add nutes.. but i just need some peace of mind bc im wanting to throw these out.
Im not exactly 100% sure if this is your problem or not, but those plants are getting a little big. You're using clear cups to pot them in, so my question(s) are, is there light getting to the roots? Is your soil pre-fertilized?

first thing i would do is check the Ph of your soil...then i would add mychorrizea to the soil before any kind feeding....wait at least 3 days after applying mycho. then i would feed some cal-mag only and just try to be patient!

i didnt use clear cups... I used 4inch pots my ph is around 6.8.... my soil has some miracle grow boosters in it(mixed in) and then I am using the happy frog which is all organic..... so i have no idea what to do... I have never had this problem before

It could very well be the MG in the soil... it's really hard to control the nutrients in soil with MG additives...slow release nutes. Sometimes you'll be okay, but other times this will happen. My guess is that since they're already a fair size, they'll grow out of it but i'd stay away from the MG from this point forward..... my 2 cents

always start with ph. planters seem a little small which can invite trouble, temps are a little warm 65 -75 is optimal. dont throw away new shoots should be fine if you correct problem. some strains can be very finicky to nutes and ph so you might have to play a little bit. try keeping a log.

Gotta a fan in there with it? It seems sorta like its getting to hot to me, only from what iv seen personally. Thats not a bunch. How far away is the light by chance? Do you have intake as well in your tent? I wouldn't give up on er, Shakes right maybe you should fill out the form it helps out the pro's figure out the problem w/o all the guess work.
Good luck:rasta:

the light is about 3 ft from the plants.... the only thing is.. the smaller one in the pictures I am using happy frog organic potting mix..... and yes I have a fan running with a carbon filter... and the intake is just the hole at the bottom the negative pressure is bringing the air in there. I was thinking they look burnt but my light isnt that close so maybe nute burn?? I have the foxfarm 3 stage nutes I guess i will hold off on them for a while

so how high should i leave the lights??? I took one plant out that was bagseed to feel the soil and it seems like it is draining alright i added a good bit of perlite to most of the soils.... in my previous grows i havent had this trouble at anytime.. thats the weird thing... so its def frustrating.... there is a heater in there so i guess i could take it out bc it stays a constant 68 in there... thats not too cold??

68 IS THE LOW? Shit. If so then yeah you dont need a heater i do. Id watch the nutes, maybe a flush, then when ya start the nutes. Start out 1/4 strangth and build up to what ya need. Il bet if ya pumped air in from outside your tent it would cool it down 10degrees. Iv seen it in a tent grow log. Maybe a cheep computer fan would work.
Just throw en em at ya, ha ha,
Good luck:rasta:

Id go by what the temps say close to the top of your plants. Plus some genetics grow different under different conditions, so before you might have grown different strains, as to ''never having this problem before''.
