First time grower

hey whats up people this is my first thread and my first grow. right now my set up it 3 cfl's each putting out 1650 lumens add that up and i got 4950 lumens. Im growing my plant in a rockband 2 box lol and i made a hole so air from my fan can blow in. please give me feedback and tips. heres my video before i added 2 more cfl's

haha clever. are u growing a singleplant. and ur gonna need more light, lowes has big cfls that are pretty cheap.and for sproutlings the light has tobe pretty close so that the sproutlings dont strech to much

thanks for the tip. So far this plant has no signs of stretching it looks pretty good. The only thing is that im starting to see a slight color change in two of my leaves, idk why this is happening im using good soil its some miracle grow potting mix.

that is the worst shit you can use...sorry! get some foxfarm ocean forest or go down to your local hydro store and they will have good soil...that stuff is not mixed to grow our fine herbs!:smokin:

Man dont sweat the MG, i seen grows on here thats been excellent grows with MG, people some time have nute issues. But you just take it easy on the nutes and read the ph if you have issues right away. But iv seen monsters growing in MG lots, if ya want use the search option and check em out.:hippy:

so the top of my plant is turning purple or brown i cant tell what does this mean?

It looks like the leaves are yellow or is it the photo? What are you feeding them if anything? How close are the lights? I don't know exactly what the browning is caused too but I believe its a sign of stress. When my girls have alittle bit of brown like that I take it easy on nutes until they get back to normal.

nutes = nutrients otherwise known as fertilizer

the yellow does not look good....do you have a ph meter for soil?

first thing to check is ph then you know what to do when solving plant issues! i think that MG soil is cooking your baby!:(

i would recommend getting Jorge Cervantes Medical Marijuana Bible...good book with everything you want to know about growing good herb! can't go wrong reading it!:thumbsup:

Everytime you water you are feeding with nutes considering your soil is MG and is filled with nutes. With MG soil ive and others have noticed... dryer is better.

THE BROWN IS WAS TALKING ABOUT A COUPLE POST AGO THAT HAS CHANGED ITS GOING AWAY. THE BOTTOM 2 LEAFS ARE DRYED OUT BUT THE TOP CONTINUES TO GROW SHOULD I BE CONCERNED? FIRST PIC IS FROM 2/14/10 SECOND PIC IS FROM 2/15/10

id stop watering it and let the soil get really really dry. If that doesnt help there are too much nutes id say in your soil. waht kinda MG did u use?

I FORGOT TO ASK HOW LONG SHOULD I HAVE THE LIGHT ON IT. I LEAVE IT OUTSIDE FOR THE DAY CUZ ITS SUNNY HERE IN NOR CAL, BUT WHEN THE LIGHT GOES AWAY I BRING IT IN TO THE GROW BOX.
