okay so here's the scoop. I'm 5' 9" about 160 pounds. last time I smoked was january 11. my test was today (32 days later). before that, I smoked an average of once or twice a week regularly, usually just 1 blunt at a time. I drank some stuff called Maxx Detoxx 3 hours before my test, and then consumed about three 16 ounce bottles of water. I urinated 3 times before I actually gave my test sample. the testing company is quest diagnostics. I AM STILL PARANOID. should I be??? will the MRO call me if I fail? and if they call, anyone know if they leave a message if you don't happen to answer?

also I read somewhere that if you drink alcohol or smoke tobacco, it slows your metabolism down and it takes longer for the THC to get out of your system. I drank and smoke practically every day during those 32 days.

If you only smoked once a week you maybe ok. No way of knowing without testing yourself at home.
If its an employement UA the MRO won't call you. They'll notify who ever paid for the test.

I did one of those At Home THC tests and I had a visible line, indicating that I passed. But I'm still paranoid.

Anyone know asomebody who took a drug test for employment with the federal government and failed???

If you get a line with the first void of the day you should be good. If your getting any line you're getting close. Some dillution the morning of the UA should work just fine.

You think drinking one of those detox drinks + three 16-ounce bottles of water + voiding 3 times before actually giving a sample would be a sufficient amount of dilution?

Don't buy a detox drink. Nuff said. Since you did, hopefully you didn't over dilute yourself and had your creatinine levels checked.

The detox drink I consumed actually had creatine in it. Does that change your analysis?

Creatine will help but it takes 3 days before the UA to do its work. You can just get a cheap creatine supllement form walmart. Detox drinks work by dillution, they don't detox thc metabolites because they can't detox fat cells. You can only burn them off.

I am aware of this about the fat cells, etc... you seem to be pretty knowledgeable. Let me ask you this... given that I was 32 days clean when I took the test and smoked like once or twice a week before that, is it safe to say that based on the protocol I used (detox drink, three 16-ounce bottles of water within 3 hours of the test, and voiding 3 times before actually submitting a sample), that I should worry more about coming up diluted than coming up positive for THC? Because I'd rather come up diluted than positive.

The creatine in the magic detox potions is useless when the potion is drank on the day of the U/A. Thats because it takes 2-3 days for the body to metabolize creatine into creatinine. Labs check the creatinine level in the urine since its the end waste product of creatine.

With the total fluid ounces youve consumed (when the magic potion and the 3 bottles of water are combined) theres really no telling if your sample will be overdiluted. That would depend on what your baseline levels (for creatinine and specific gravity) were to begin with prior to the fluid consumption; and you wouldnt know this without testing, using an adulteration test kit.

Update:

Well I got a call about a week ago from the guy who hired me who asked me if I had a start date yet. I'm presuming he would know if I failed the test. So it appears I'm in the clear. This forum provided me with a lot of information so that I won't sweat this so bad next time!
