What is the best way to propagate clones?

Without using rockwool that is. I usually have a great success rate just sticking them in the dirt without any hormones or anything and putting them under flourescents. My last batch didn't do to well, and I want to experiment with some new methods and products. Anyone have any advice on this?

I keep it simple.

I mix some compost with perlite, I don't know the exact ratio I just throw it in until it looks like there's enough. Fill the pots with the compost mix and water it thoroughly so it settles and so there's no dry spots. I then take the cuttings from the plant, cut the bits off, cut them to the right size, dip them in rooting powder and shake off the excess, dib holes in the soil and plonk the cuttings in, then cover the pot with a sandwich baggy and put them under fluorescents. They're usually ready in about 2 weeks, this depends on the strain etc, the quickest I've had them root is about 8 or 9 days or something, sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks. It depends on the actual cutting itself, thicker, woodier cuttings will take longer than soft stemmed cuttings. I'm not saying this is the correct or best way to do it, it's just the way I do it.

hmm, try the rapid rooters from GH or power plugs from B'cuzz. Add some bcuzz root stim. maybe some bcuzz coco. i always root in the rockwool plugs and then transfer into my medium of choice. which has been coco lately!
