So I'm growing bagseed now and I know I'll want to order some seeds from a seedbank one day. Question is, I notice in the description they all usually say something like... "takes 7-8 weeks to flower".
Does this mean.. 7-8 weeks after vegging. Or are we talking about from beginning (seedling) to end (harvest).

7-8 weeks of flowering for a pure Indica.
10-12 weeks of flowering for a pure Sativa.
Anywhere from 8-11.5 weeks for a cross of the two.
All this AFTER vegging for ??? days, weeks?

I usually veg to my vertical limits, not to a calendar. Plants stretch in flower, so a plant's headroom has to be a consideration.
Generally about 2 months veg, 2-3 months flower, depending on phenotype. (sativa or indica dominates)
A breeders insight to flowering tmes are a tad subjective. If you use his nutrients and additives, his 1000w HID lighting array and ventilation, use the same water quality, and have a firm working knowledge of the strain...you'll be in the neighborhood. But don't freak if it takes a tad longer. This is normal.

i've been growing in an enclosed outdoor space but the temps are going to drop soon
i read the 8-14 weeks the seed sellers reported as the total grow time - dur!
5 weeks veg with a mix of indica and sativa plants
so... i'm looking at another 2 or 3 months of flowering?
