Fill in the gaps and give them 18/6 with the light. Once they sprout good start bringing the light down so they don't stretch. If you can hold your hand at the top of your plants and the light doesn't burn you it's not too close.

Oh i haven't heard of that light but maybe im just stupid lol! Try and get some extra cfls in there, that should sort it if its a problem of them stretching because there not getting enough light. or if not, how hot does your light get or does it run cool?

i dont know how hot the light gets .. the tank its self gets up to 28.c
should i be able to see roots coming from the bottom of the big cubes.. as i carnt see any yet.. there was some of the starter cubes thats when i put them in to the bigger cubes , i feel ive done somhing wronge might just start over

Get your tank temps down to near 21.11c . your risking root rot.

With those big cubes you won't see roots for awhile then water roots coming down.

we used the smallest A/C we can get. It's a 5000btu from slowes.
Something to bring your room temps down to bring your water temps down.

If that is not possible a water chiller for aquariums. Very costly.

Or you can freeze plastic soda bottles full of water and float them in your rez to bring temps down.

Rez temps are what we fight the most.
