noob lighting question

theres alot of great info on this site but i just need the best advise quick

i built a grow cabinet 5ft wide x 2 1/2ft. 7ft tall .its a exact copy of someones grow closet on here.

i wanted to grow 6 to 8 plants in soil. basic bud.

which lighting is best for my set up?
and if you know of a kit please send me the link

i was thinking a good 600watt hps light

A 600 watt HID light in a cabinet, only 7 ft tall?...would require SERIOUS ventilation, to keep the temps under 85 degrees.

You would need a cool tube...IMO

I would choose a 250 watt HPS/MH switchable light and go for 3-4 flowering females....max. Even a 400 watt light...is pushing the envelope.

im going to have 1 or 2 intake and 4 exhuast fans and im also going to run a cool tube. do you think this will reduce the heat?

the cabinet has alot of space. could fit 8 plants in 2 litter pots but i was thinking of 6 first to try it out give the plant some space to breath

Go with a 400 hps max. If you need more light...chuckle...then add CFLs around the bottom or something.

Yes, You'll do fine with a 400W.

Just get some flat white paint up, or space blankets, or whatever for reflectivity.
