Hi, about a month ago I started taking a drug for ADHD and ADD called Strattera. I'm on 60 mg. I was woundering if it would effect my pot smoking. My doctor who knew I smoke pot told me I would have to stop smoking because it would effect the medication in a very negative way. She said that I could go into cardiac arrest or something, and I am afraid to smoke while on it. I can't just not take the medication for the days I want to smoke because for about two weeks it stays working in your system even after yous top taking it. I don't know what to do, I want the strattera to help me, but I would also like to keep smoking pot, but I'm not sure if I should..

Does anyone know exactly how marijuana might effect my medication? Any experiences?

yo i can help... i was on straterra earlier this year and everytime i smoked i got this high that was too much, i felt like i was on speed and got really fucked up fast.. u should quit it, u wont be able to drink alcohol anymore either... one drink and youll be drunk or sick.. and i was on 25 mg pill when i felt this stuff.. ur on a 60 mg , i would either quit drugs and alcohol or quit straterra... i chose to quit the med.

well actually I was on 40 for a month but I decided to try smoking anyway, and it was fine, but they upped my dose for some reason, and now I'm actually starting to feel effects from the strattera.. oh well, I'm going off the drug in the summer, I just need to finish up the school year with half decent grades, and it's starting to help. Thanks for your help
