View Full Version : God knows the future?

Does God know the future? What will happen exactly percise time (example: what will happen to u jan 24, 2022, 3:39pm) afterall god is all knowing and powerful and perfect. humans are imperfect and predicable. god made human so god should know exactly how we think, so in theory he would know i'm gonna scratch my head and look at the mouse in about 13minutes. god would know whats the outcome of every conversation people have and what it leads to. if its true he knows our future, then our lives are predestent, sure we have free choice, but god knows the outcome of our life already. maybe thats what makes us imperfect, we don't know our future, if we did, we probably wouldnt make mistakes.
but in the bible there signs that god experimented to see the outcome (sorry dont feel like pullin out the bible and cite source) like in genesis god would create something and "see that it was good" as if he had to experiment before knowing the future(like humans have to experiment to figure out the future/outcome)
its all just a thought i wanted to share and read opinions

You have pointed out just one of a multitude of logical fallacies in the bible.
Here's another one. If god is all powerful, all knowing, and timeless, he knew the outcome of his "bet" with the devil over his most loyal worshiper, Jobe. Basically, he cheated. :D
But he's also all merciful, so he allowed the devil to totally screw over Jobe and completely destroy his life over a bet. And when Jobe finally had enough and asks why, god gets angry. I know that says love to me.

Man you are a joke! You know nothing at all and are totally misinterpiting the Bible (AGAIN!!!) Not a suprise to say the least.
The story of Job is about GOD knowing our hearts.
God knew Jobs' heart and he knew that Job was a very good man and strong follower. He also knew that no matter what happened, Job would stick by his side and never lose his faith in GOD. GOD allowed the devil to do bad things to Job, TO TEST JOBS FAITH, NOT TO RUIN HIS LIFE. After all was said and done, JOB never turned his back on GOD and stayed loyal and faithful. He still loved GOD just like GOD knew he would, and so GOD repayed Job... A hundredfold!!!
In my opinion GOD knows our hearts, not when we are going to scratch our head. When he says he is "all knowing" he means it generally and not literally. Yes GOD created Hitler, but was it GODS plan to have Hitler kill thousands of Jews... NO!!! Hitler was supposed to be a loving caring person, just like everybody else is "supposed" to be, but he was turned around by the devil. This world is "supposed" to be perferct, but it's not because of the devil and sin.
What im pretty much saying is that... NO. GOD does not know, or care about when your gonna scratch your head. He cares about your heart and has EXPECTATIONS for it. If he knows a persons life before he creates them, than how can he judge you based on your life after you die? It don't make sense. You live your life by free will. YOU CHOOSE YOUR ULTIMATE DESTINATION!!! HEAVEN OR HELL!
Many people have many different opinions on this matter and it is a great question to discuss with others btw.

To what purpose? Why test the faith of a man whose heart is known?

LMFAO! How could I "run away" from a debate 50 times? Wouldn't I have to come back? Once again you have aggrandized yourself and exaggerated your internet muscle.
I haven't taken anything out of context. I know that story backwards and forwards. I just chose to interpret it without the "god love" blinders on.
Because I chose not to debate with you when you act like a five year old doesn't make me a coward. Go ahead and crow over your internet "victories".

Like I said before. I believe he is speaking generally when he says he "knows" Jobs' heart. He isn't speaking literally.
If Job WOULD have turned his back on GOD, I DO believe it would have suprised GOD.
If I go out and kill somebody tomorrow out of cold blood I'm almost sure it would be a suprise to GOD. God "knows" my heart. He knows I'm not a murderer. He doesn't expect me to be a killer.

Act like a 5 year old?
I asked you some simple questions which you will not respond to at all. Are you scared to respond to them? Whats the deal?

God could not know the future it would defeat any purpose of the meaning. But we can live our lives morally decent and nice to each other. Or not that is the great part. It is a journey with a beginning a middle and of the course the end. Lets not bring up books in general that were written by humans, life all around us is enough proof of what Is.

Yes act like a 5 year old. For example:
If you do not know how the universe and "all that" came to be than how do you know if my God made it or not? YOU KNOW NOTHING!!! and you even said it yourself!!! hahahahahahahahahaha... im gonna go smoke one now... hahahahaha GO COWBOYS!!! :rasta:
and
HAHA!!! I WIN!!! I FINALLY WIN!!! I will definitly remember this moment for a while!!!!! It just feels so good! I gotta celebrate
That one was in response to an Edward Currant link I posted. btw Chris, Edward Currant is an Atheist and those are spoofs.
You routinely ignore questions you don't want to (or can't) answer. You ask questions, get answers, ignore answers, ask again, repeat. There's only so much of that folks are willing to put up with.
And let's not forget, that you must preface every interaction you initiate with me by insulting me with some kind of name calling. I have called you immature and accused you of being a troll.
You have called me:
stupid
scum
lonely old man
dumbass
smart guy (although I have to admit, I like that one)
idiot
Your behavior is troll like enough that I am convinced you are merely trolling these boards for a reaction. Using insults is a typical troll strategy and not a typical Christian strategy.
You trumpet how you've provided all this "proof" of your side of the argument, yet you routinely ignore any counters to your "proof" and insist you are winning. Whatever.
If you aren't a troll, you act so closely to how trolls act that it makes little difference what your intent is.

I say opinions of mine and support them with facts. You don't! You simply believe theres no GOD and thats it. You are blind to the facts I present to you. You CONTRADICT yourself CONSTANTLY. You ignore all facts and create posts just like the one you just created. ALL BASHING NO KNOWLEDGE,OPINION, OR FACTS TO BACK UP YOUR OPINIONS!!! You like to start a debate and NEVER finish it because your stumped.

I disagree, however, I suggest we stop boring everyone else on the board now.
If you want to consider that a victory and that I'm scared or too dumb to debate you, go ahead. I have zero interest in changing your mind.
Go worship your god and enjoy your life your way. I'll go mine.
Peace.

There is no such thing as time in God's eyes, time was man made. Just like how we HAD to come up with theorys of how the universe was created though it always existed. The entire futre and past are occuring as one. An example would be.. in this one book I read about a guy who was visited by 2 Ascended masters repeatedly a couple times a year, he recorded the conversations and put them in a book..forget what its called ill post it later. At one part they caused the guy to timetravel instantly to a later point in his life and back.
I found it.. The Disappearance of the Universe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Disappearance_of_the_Universe)
