1st time night stand grow log

so i have....
-1 19"x20"x16.5 night stand with the drawer cut off so i can utilize the entire space inside of the night stand
-1 60 watt agro-lite medium bas a19 120v
-3 different strains 1 bag of redbull, 1 bag of deisel, 1 bag of ghost
-2 six pack things (you know the little six pack that most flowers come in...)
-1 shot glass full of water to hopefully to to keep the humidity up
-1 bong half filled with clean water (the bongs clean) to help try to keep the humidity up

seed prep 1/29/2010-1/30/2010

germinated 3 of each strain, left them in still they all sunk to the bottom separating each strain into different glasses(used smart water)... each strain sunk to the bottom of the glass and as instructed by a mentor as soon as they sank and had been in the water for over 24 hours...33 hrs and some change in my case all but 1 seed sunk.

planting 1/30/2010

got some regular potting soil from the nursery down the street to start and 2 six pack plant things...(will some one let me know what they're called please...) planted them at around noon (watered them with bottled mineral water) and left them in my room with the lights on till i had to do some running around and left em out side to get some real sun for a bit.. got home and got my night stand half ass set up with a 15 watt cfl..went out again and hit up the home depot and got my agro-lite so the agros been sittin with the seeds in the cabinet since about 9 pm. and im going for 18/6 light cycle

You can get a hook light like this a wal-mart which will fit 3 y splitters and accommodate 4 bulbs. I have a stand just like yours i was thinking about using someday. Also, id get a cfl to use as that light puts out more heat than a cfl and you could use 26wters which equals a 100w bulb, but as a cfl, only 26w. They are low on heat and you can keep the bulbs 2-3'' away, so you can get short bushy plants through veg. Then with a little lst maybe, you can control the height easy. I might paint the inside white too, so the light will bounce for ya. The light on the right is the small one and thats the one ya want its only $7.99 and the lights are close to $5.00, so great price that will work great in there:jointsmile:

actually i think the light seems to be giving off the right amount of heat and light every time i open the door it feels like summer in there. only 2 seeds have popped up so far 1 deisel and 1 ghost. ill get pics when i turn the lights back on. happy that i had some pop up not happy with the odds of what they'll be....

Problem is, not enough energy that the plant needs. You see warm and bright, the plant sees too much heat and not nearly enough light.

U can make a light rig easy.Go to walmart and buy a light fixture. Cfls are great for that. i had the same idea but i never tried it out. but deff use tinfoil or white paint for the walls. hen ur plants start getting a little bit bigger u should transplant asap. and ventilation is needed as well. i stripped down a bathroom vent. but u can find a small fan or something. ur plants need fresh air. if u get the fan just cut a hole in the back of the box and pop it in there.
. u can see my setup. everything that i have is cheap stuff. u can make ur box nice, all u have to do is spend like 20-30 bucks. oh and i use a spraybotle for humidity. i go in there and spray pretty often. Good luck:rastasmoke:
