i use to smoke 24/7 everyday and still do at weekends but now dureing the week i only smoke 3or4 joints in the evenings. i think it's upto the individual, but i found cutting down has made my smoking more enjoyable and if i cut down even more it would probally be even better as my tollerance level would be alot lower, so only smoking a couple of times a week would be a much better buzz than smoking every day , even though i don't, i think it would be better:jointsmile:

Im not debating whether you can, i do, but do you think it should be smoked everyday as a sort of tonic, or occasionally as in weekly for a more profound high.

Im thinking recently at 21 after about five years of daily smoking that maybe I should save daily blazing for when im old and have less to achieve, just talking about me, I aint on a soap box

anyway opinions?

I was forced by circumstance to give up smoking weed all together from when I was about 24 until I was 44 (career in the military). When I was in my teens and early twenties an oz lasted me a couple of days (a week tops), but now find it takes very little to keep me buzzed. A quarter lasts me about a month and I stay high as much as possible, definitely every day.

I think it is better now, because I have no kids to mind anymore and have achieved most of my life's goals (mainly raising my family). Now it's gravy time and folks expect an old fart like me to be lazy now. :D

So my answer to you is, yes I think daily blazing can interfere with achieving your goals. I also believe giving it up all together is easier than just cutting back (at least for me it was). As jimmy8778 mentioned, I also noticed that I had much more money for things my family and I needed once I quit. Some of the financial squeezes we endured would have been crushing if I'd have still been selfishly buying weed.

I'm no hero though. If it weren't for the threat of losing my job hanging over my head, I can't say if I'd have been able to put the pipe down and back away. :stoned:

I'm also 21 and have been smoking for about 7 years, 2 of those were every day smoking.

I've cut down to once or twice a week in the last year or so and it makes the high so much better when I do smoke and now when I smoke it's usually with friends rather than always by myself.

I'd say cut down to a few times a week :)

my dog greeted the officer when he came to the window so he ran a little distraction but i know he smelled it but he was more interested in my dog and told me to slow down!

We have phrase here in town and i am sure that somebody on this site has got to have an "Enjoy Weed, California" t-shirt ...and the best part is being a graduate of Weed High School...no joke...school colors were green/gold/white. :smokin:

Nobody I know that smokes everyday is going anywhere in life, so yes I think it hinders your ability to achieve your goals. I agree with 3 sheets to the wind its better to smoke every once in a while with friends than to do it everyday by yourself.

I used to smoke every day, usually multiple times. Got arrested about a month ago so I cant afford to do that shit anymore. However its a lot more enjoyable now when I smoke and I have some extra money

My sessions usually consist of about 2-4 tokes depending on size of the hits..every day at least a few times a day, and I get just as high as I'd like to, or ever have..I've had problems with tolerance in the past, but not since I'm able to get ahold of better quality smoke and be able to smoke much less for a good buzz..

and on the other side, people are just as different as cannabis strains..I'm just glad it affects me the way it does :stoned:

Should you? probably not. Do I? Yes. As long as i can afford it and enjoy it i'll keep doing it as much as i want. I could care less if 99% of girls i know despise it. I don't care that people chastise me and degrade me for my choices. I am that i am and will continue to be. One day i'll flee from this oppressive country to the freedom of amsterdam or alkmar. Til then i slave away to afford that luxury. It's a hell of a lot better then drinking alcohol or smoking tobacco every day.

I smoke a couple of days a week, mostly in the late evening but on the days when I stay home I will do a wake and bake, but I still get what I need to get done for the most part.

As long as I don't turn the tv on I'm good to go. I have smoked everyday for years at one point in my life, hell I got through grad school smoking most of the time, never high in class though or when I was studying or writing or teaching. Jst three to four days a week now...

I can take it or leave it I really had to, but I truly enjoy smoking and growing and have for the past 25 years so.....

I smoke everyday......at about 9 or 10 after the kids are asleep and the homefront is quiet & clean. We go to the chill room, turn on the surround sound, and fire up the Luke Wilson 6 shooter with a percalator and an inline ash catcher. That or the 10 arm diffuser. I enjoy the ritual as much as the smoking almost. I would think it depends on the person.......if smoking interferes with your daily life than they should wait or cut way down until later in life.

It depends on the person and their circumstances.

I think the herb should be smoked when a person needs to unwind and relax for a couple of hours... have I abused it before, based on that definition? Yes. Do I think drug abuse is a good idea? No.

Certainly the physical effects of smoking "too much" are quite minimal... but I do think the herb can be abused. It's all dependent on why somebody is using it... obviously for certain medical reasons it is indicated more frequently than for recreational/health tonic purposes...

I dunno, for me, I can smoke it every night, but I don't need to. I do it more when I have stress or health problems. I think that more than once a day is abuse, for me, unless I'm sick, but for others it might be different.

Do what makes you feel good about yourself. If you feel like your drug use is standing in your way... then it's too much. If you feel like your drug use is helpful to maintaining health, then it's just right.

Ehm, it depends on what you do.. It doesn't exactly help when you're in school and you're supposed to be learning something new. Atleast not for everybody..

I smoke as much as I can, except for the last month of school, when I've got exams.

I never smoke anything before going to the gym, that being said; I only smoke in the evening, and therefor I don't have time to smoke as much as I would have if I smoked all day.

Before I started school I was stoned from when I woke up until I went to sleep. It didn't damage me ;)

Every day only if it is medical or spiritual. The big thing is not to smoke old MJ. It must be fresh for spiritual. Have you ever offered a Spirit old weed. It's not a pretty sight. They will Karma all over your ass if it ain't fresh.

So my spiritual quest is to acheive enlightenment. So anyone got any good fresh stuff enlighten me. LOL

I'm usually able to make sence of things that make no sence but that was a trainwreck.. For medical purposes it should be used whenever your symptoms occur which would probably be everyday. Spiritually I've heard/read its not great like while you're high spiritual things are hampered but it might help as a temporary change of perception.

I smoke daily. I'll take a hit or 2 in the morn, a hit or 3 at lunch, then a joint or 4 after work. For me it definitely takes the gnarly sharp pains out of my knees or back, and id would rather take a hit or two, than take an Aleve or 2 everyday. For that comment about "scarface" saying doesn't know anyone going anywhere that smokes, You don't know the right smokers.

I agree. I think as long as it doesn't make you completely useless and its ALL you do then its fine to do so. What I typically do is go to work or school or whatever, and after I get everything done that I need to finish I kick back and enjoy myself :)..... makes me eat way too much though... thats for sure LOL.

I always eat a footlong meatball sub when I go to subway... and that makes me REALLY full. However the other day I had one and then had to go back for another 30 mins later... the guy at subway was like "What the hell man? Are you SERIOUS?!?!" and I just started laughing nonstop... I think he knew right then and there what was going on hahaha.

Im in my senior year of undergrad study... I started smoking daily about 8 months ago and my grades have gone up (albeit only slightly- from a 3.8 cumulative to a 4.0 last semester...) So I would say that FOR ME, it does not influence my current goals (graduating...) although everybody is different...

for someone who has been smoking all day every day for the past 7 years, give or take a few circumstances where i wasn't able to smoke albeit vacation or family gatherings, i have a few things to say about the everyday use of MJ.

first of all i smoke everyday because i grew up in a small town and there wasn't much to do so my friends and i used to spend our days smoking or trying to get smoke. So when it has a certain comfort zone feel to smoking because i am so used to it. Now it has turned into something i do for various reasons.

part of me is the stoner who wants to rip bongs and smoke 6 paper joints another part of me likes to smoke to enjoy the intricacies of things im accomplishing. i like to smoke to accomplish things like put a new part in my computer or rebuild guitars. part of the time it motivates me.

another part using cannabis because of certain illnesses that i have that when i smoke puts my mind at ease and helps me sleep/relax

i have to say that it has turned into a habit. because when i was growing up we used to smoke right before we would go to an event or do something like watch a crazy movie or play video games. So now my brain associates the feeling of being high to doing certain events and it is really hard for me not to want to smoke before dong something even if the person i am doing it will doesn't smoke or smoke as much.

as for someone who smokes everyday not gong anywhere in life (referring to a previous comment) well i have a audio science degree and i smoked everyday through college and probably was high during most tests and studying. i worked with people like the allman brothers, john paul jones, ben harper, the pixies and i probably wouldn't have made the connections i have if it wasn't for smoking weed. So many of my good friends i met just by asking if anyone had a pipe or a paper around school. bottom line is almost everyone i know smokes so if quit smoking then i would probably get lazy and not do anything.

It's different for all people of course. some people thrive and get motivated when smoking and some people just get dumb (dumber) and get nothing accomplished and waste away. smoking everyday isn't for everyone

I've been an everyday smoker for about 13 years now. I think the longest I ever went without was 12 days and that was because I was in Italy. And then I went to Amsterdam so it was totally worth it! :jointsmile:

I know some people like me that smoke everyday and it doesn't really affect them in a negative way. I still go to work everyday, I still pay my bills every month and I still have alot of activities that don't involve smoking pot. But I will say it keeps me mellow and it makes my back pain much more bearable! but I do have friends that take a hit or two and are so high they can't even see straight! It hasn't been like that for me since I was in high school!

the only time i have had to quit was when i went to China last year for 30 days...when i got home i found out how strong my herb is....took me a few weeks to acclimate myself...i always laughed at others when they were so baked from a few hits...i remeber a few days after returning home that i only took 2 or 3 bongs the entire day. :stoned:

our adult league softball team was the Weed Smokers....at our football and b-ball games other schools always had posters made like "We are gonna smoke Weed"...."Burn Weed"...."Mow Weed down" ...and various other slogans! school colors are Green, Gold and white....go figure! i was at track meet once warming up for my event and our shirt just says "Weed" on it and kid tells me...dude you got some balls wearing that Weed shirt out here...better go take it off or you are gonna get kicked out...i laughed and said it is my uni...a bidding war started for my shirt...haha!

I think it depends on the person; everyone is different. If you smoke weed everyday and just sit there on your lazy ass and not do anything with your life, then no, I do not think you should smoke everyday.

On the other hand, if you smoke everyday and work hard, reach your goals, provide for your family, etc. then smoke it up all day everyday.

I prefer the latter :jointsmile:

I've gone through ups and downs. Depending on people around me, what I'm doing, work, kids etc.

for about six months earlier this year it was every night... Kids in bed, house clean, smoke my brains out and just veg...

Now I try and limit myself... that and hubby makes me go outside to smoke, and god DAMN it's cold. Magor witer storm here -20 and horizontal wind... screw that shit I won't even go smoke cigarettes in that lol.

I find though if I'm smokin everyday, mornings are the SHITS... I'm groggy, hard to get going... and I can't smoke at all during the day when my kids are up, I get paranoid and stupid lol

Marijuana is a very useful tonic and medicine. As a PHD in THC, i recommend medicating as needed. Once the consequences outweigh the benefits, cut down a bit. I smoke every day, probably 20 times or more a day. I have gone through severe depression and anxiety since i was 15. Marijuana helps me sleep, marijuana helps me eat,marijuana helps me relax, and marijuana helps me realize what matters, and what doesnt.

Then again, I dont pay a penny for my weed and the fact that i have a steady supply of grade A cannabis. It would cost 80 dollars a day to support my current habit. FUCK THAT
