View Full Version : Saliva testing-swabs?

I have seen people getting hired at my company putting swabs in their mouths for like 3 minutes.

I haven't seen anything on the boards about this. I am already in the company as a temp, and diluted to pass my test for that successfully. I am hoping to go perm, and might be subject to another test. I am just wondering what the story is on that method of testing. Time frame to be clean? Accuracy, etc.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hard to beat if not impossible.....detection time is up to 3 days.

Swab tests have a detection window of about 24-48 hours, so stop 4 days before the test. If you can't then make sure you brush your teeth and gums and tongue very well before you take the test. When you take the test you should also position the swab so that it is barely touching the soft surfaces in the mouth.

Most of the people who bothered to post after taking an oral test, passed by abstaining for a couple of days and practicing excellent oral hygiene (bush, floss, and an alcohol-based or plaque-removing mouth wash). Hope that helps you.
