Yeah man, nearly everypipe needs a screen. Unless there is a filter built into the pipe which keeps out ash... but that would be clogged quickly and be a pain to clean.

As far as I know, every bong/pipe needs a screen.

yea, glass pipes are the best, gives such a clean pure taste. also you never need a screen for a glass piece.

and they hit nicer, but sotne is nice. it will most likely need a screen as it is hard to make a hole small enough that stuff wont go through in stone without cracks

the only pipe i ever had that didnt need a screen was a sneak a toke, and the chamber was about as big as the ink holder on a bic pen, ohh and my new glass pipe dosent need one, but i use one anyways

i wouldnt reccomend metal screens in a glass pipe...kinda kills the whole point of using glass....just my opinion, whatever works. toke on.

If he can't taste it, i'd use it. Conserves slightly more weed I suppose. Glass screens are awesome though, as they're easy to clean. I've used em in metal bowls even.
