OK, I have spent years trying to figure out how to unite everybody who believes that Marijuana laws need to be reformed. There are a lot of us but our beliefs vary to such a degree that separation and division is far more common than unity.

I have come up with an idea that would be good for us all in several ways, for several reasons. Banks are greedy and self serving!! Credit unions are owned by the members who all have something in common defined within the Credit Union Charter with the Federal Government. Politicians respond to hard numbers of people and/or money. If we can accumulate $100M in deposits for a Marijuana Federal Credit Union The "Green" Federal Cedit Union, Show our real numbers! | The Point (http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/campaign-0-45) we will be able to show our real collective force in this country.

We could all earn dividends as Owners of Shares in this credit union just by depositing our savings or checking money here instead of some corporate bank that could care less about Marijuana or fears any affiliation with it or us.

Please check out my campaign to create this thing, It won't cost anybody anything and it can do a lot for this movement that is picking up momentum.

Think about Chase just denying MPP and SSDP winnings from facebook because of Marijuana.

go here to check it out please The "Green" Federal Cedit Union, Show our real numbers! | The Point (http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/campaign-0-45)

Peace to all.

This sounds like a really good proposal for a Cannabis Financial system.
Our bank would be backed by the financial stability of the Cannabis and Hemp industry. We will invest the money through loans to farmers and businesses in the cannabis industry. There are 10,000s of products that hemp can be used for that could mean 10,000s of new businesses.

We could even offer a seed bank safety deposit box to make sure you don't loose your best seeds. We could trade cannabis for quick cash or accept it as payment on a loan then sell it as a commodity on the market.

We could make the coolest bank fanchise in the USA.

Well the Cannabis Hemp industry does need to have a Venture Capital investment fund setup. Right now we need to be funding research and development into processes and products. This sort of thing is more then just a fantasy. It will become a reality.

As far as a franchise bank, that dream isn't so far fetched. It's all a matter of the right people comming together and making it happen.

Banks are controlled by federal law. How would you plan on getting around that little fact, being as how cannabis is still against federal law?

It could become one of the largest asset seizures on record.

Keep dreaming though.

The only way its gonna happen is if weed is legalized, with the *SAME* rules, regulations, laws, and TAXES that alcohol has. Then and only then will things like a credit union and such be a viable option. in the mean time, write letters, send e-mails, etc to all of the elected officials from the top, on down. Make sure the emphisis is on local, state, and federal tax revenue, the reduction in law enforcement, legal, and incarceration costs and fees for *marijuana only* offences. Yes it will put the large grow operations out of business, but small, personal grows will still be allowed....same as brewing a couple of gallons of beer for personal use, or making a couple of gallons of wine. Think of it as the same as the end of prohibition.
