Hey all. I recently switched to 6" rockwool from coco in previous grows. i had been using tap water corrected to 6.3 ph. the serrated edges of the fan leaves started to curl up and over. i called the hydro shop and they told me to use RO water and suggested i might be over watering.
i let the rockwool dry out and get nice and light then watered with RO water corrected to 6.3 ph and 1000 ppm combined botanicare pro grow, Cal Mag and liquid karma.
the leaves are still curling and now some of the leaves are getting these circular black spots. also the plants droop towards the end of their 18 hour light cycle. what could it be?

i'm having trouble figuring out how to edit. if a moderator could delete the troubleshooting form, i need to redo it on the right form.

Yeah generally if the leaves are curling up its overwatering, if they're curling down its underwatering.
How often are you flooding?

every few days, or until the rockwool gets nice and light. i'm pretty sure i'm not overwatering

I'm not a hydro grower but my understanding is the plants need to be watered more often than that in hydro. The roots need to stay moist, if they dry out too much between waterings they'll die.
Maybe someone with more hydro experience will post.

I believe its your ph... ingoing ph for hydro should be 5.5ish.
however, if you do switch to soil the ph should be about 6.5.
