Interesting, first story says cops got a warrant saturday night...

story here claims they were still working on a warrant as of 1AM this morning here:
3 arrested in Brighton medical-pot "assembly line" - The Denver Post (http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_14209892)

I wonder what exactly was the illegal part of this operation? There are many vague allegations, that the doctor didn't meet the patients (but he was there?) that everyone entering got marijuana (how do we know they weren't all patients?) and that brighton has a ban (probably illegal) on dispensaries....

Is it because they didn't file with the city that they were going to be a dispensary?

I'm really not sure what laws were broken. It seems unclear to me. I just wish people/businesses would stop giving MM a bad name. :(

It says they were operating without ANY liscense. No retail, no sales tax, nothing.

Ive already had Colorado's Dept. of Revenue come through my store to make sure that I have all the paperwork required to operate the collective. So they are making the rounds to make sure they are getting what is owed.

Im sad to say, but I doubt that they are the only dispensary / collective / cooperative operating in this light...

Thank you for explaining what was illegal. I didn't catch that!

Ok so I read the whole article and there is a host of malpractice ... not only was the chiropracters office used as a MMD with no liscense they also had a doctor dispensing medicine which is a HUGE no-no. Their doctor was NOT allowed to write prescriptions for medication and it also says that he lent his name to the shop even when he wasnt there, allowing them to forge his signature to write patients prescriptions, which is beyond unacceptable.

Hopefully we DONT see more things like this.....

yea, we can only guess from this horrible article.

I saw an ad on craigslist for $100 Dr visits and a free gram. Chiropractors OFTEN sell stuff out of their offices - often supplements/herbs/vitamins. If they were giving away grams, no sales tax to collect..

of course it would be helpful if you got the real story from the article, but it seems like they are shielding the leo's.

If they still didnt have a warrant midnight last night... that says something likely more wrong with the bust than Dr. Appts and smoking onsite.

And I bet craigslist is how they got busted! Stay away from craigslist guys! We've already seen that the cops are reading it and setting up stings on it.
If you absolutely must use craigslist (and I don't see why you should have to) make sure you are following the rules to a tee.
