Newly transplanted showing deficiency. Help

So I just transplanted these from 18oz solo cups to 3 gallon pots. I also was using 2 T12 florescent 6500k shop lights for the first 2.5 weeks then just switched to 400w hps and 400 mh. Before I transplanted then they started showing a deficiency. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

I use distilled water with a ph of 6. I used no nute's for the first 2.5 weeks while they were in 18oz cups. Before I transplanted I soak them in Thrive Alive red for like 15 min then put them in 3 gal pots. In the soil in the new pots I have some bat guano (not much really) and the perlite I had to use is Miracle Grow so that has some fert in it.

What you think it's too early for 3gal pots after 2.5 weeks in cups? I should also mention the pots are really only half full of dirt. I under shot how much soil I needed.

Actually the new growth is green but I would like to know what the issue may be so it doesn't get worse.

water with a Ph of 6.5 -7.0 would be better & most tap water is better than distilled water...IMO.

You really don't need both lights...yet...and I wouldn't get to close with that MH light

Did you have a good root system developed?...before transplanting? If you used too much 'Thrive Alive' or Guano?...flush with 6.7ph tap water and pray...:cool:

My tap water is nasty and the ph is over 8.5, I have no way of telling exactly what it is. So how about reverse osmosis water. The water you get from the grocery store, out of the machine that fills up jugs. I have that to drink and the ph is 6.8 - 7.

That's fine also, but will still need CalMag+

Is there any bottled water sold in the store that contains all the necessary minerals? Spring Water? Drinking Water? etc..

I think the RO water will do fine, even without the CalMag+... It would definitely be BETTER with it, but it wont be bad.

I would be REALLY careful about your watering since you have such a tiny plant in such a huge container... a solo cup will support a plant just fine until its about 5-6 inches high. You probably wont want to soak your soil or there will be water just sorta sitting around in your pots instead of being used up by the roots. this means higher risk of root rot and mold and shit. be careful.

Dutch Pimp> I had good roots when I transplanted. Not quite as good as your pic but def had good roots.

Well I just gave em a good watering with 6.5-7 ph water that is RO water with minerals (calcium, sodium, magnesium) added. Don't know how much is added but at least it has some in it.

Should I try Epsom or 1\2 strength nute's?

So I just measured the soil ph with a soil test kit and it appears it is 7. Is 7 ok? If ph isn't my problem then what is? They are all showing the same signs and now the tips are curling upward. Do u think they just want some nute's? Should I hit em with 1/2 strength? I have yet to give them any really and I just used plain potting soil, nothing special.

It's too small for nutrients, so i doubt that's the problem. how is your humidity? they like it real humid when they're little. If your air is really dry, stick a humidifier in there or spray some water in the space around the plants a couple times a day.

and just a reminder to keep it light on the watering.

Well they have gotten a little bigger since the picture. But since have also got a little worse. It doesn't seem regular water is giving them what they are looking for so I just gave them 2/3 cup of nute's (boost,bloom,Epsom, thrive alive red) all at 1/2 strength. I guess I will see how they react. I had to try so mething

Well Faddenator that was my problem. I fed them 2/3rd a cup of 1/2 strength nute's and they are on the rebound! After just one day already look 100% better and happier. They gulped it all down and I had to give them more since the soil was dry. Gave em a cup this time.
