I know the rules but I had put 3 in a cup, didnt think all would sprout, and they are 11 days old. I think i should leave them together becs they are bigger and healthier than the others the same age and in individual cups. anyone try this? what do you think i should do? by the way i have not transplanted yet. WEED DOES NOT KILL BUT OTHER THINGS WILL

They strongest plant of the 3 will win this battle, and kill the other 2 eventually. You need to separate them immediately. Best way would be to take them out of the cup, and use lightly running water to wash off the soil so you can untangle the roots and replant into separate cups. Hopefully they aren't too tangled yet and you won't have to damage the roots too much.

6 plants from 6-11 days old 3.5 to 5 inch tall with 5 finger leaves is it time to place in pots?

you really think they will kill eachother even if i transplant to a bigger pot for them

PurpleWreck what is wrong with you? Don't respond just read.

I have enough things to do without having to keep moving your threads to the right forums. This is the feedback and suggestions forum for this site, not feedback on your plants. I've just moved two of your threads out of this forum in the last two days and I'm going to do something with this thread, maybe even merge it with the last thread of yours.

Put a thread in the wrong place again when it clearly belongs somewhere else and there will be a problem.

I can vouch for all the extra work FBR has to do lately, seems like the newbies aren't looking for the correct forums, to post ... it helps YOU, to post correctly, so others can help you out ... happy gardening :smokin:

I'm not having a fit or threatening you. I'm telling you the way it is if you continue to put threads in the wrong spot after I told you not to then I will take action by clicking a few more buttons and boxes and then I won't have to be your butler.

im new bare with me
You don't have to be a member for months to use common sense. The thread 3some in a cup asking about what to do with 3 plants in the same cup is essentially the same question and topic as this thread so it would seem that with a little common sense that you should continue that thread than start a new one. Most of the time it seems you get a better response if you keep everything together.

Look at how much extra work you have caused by not using common sense or taking note of the multiple threads of yours I have had to move.

Enjoy your time here and get back on subject, fixing the problem of 3 plants in one cup.

in my bagseed days, I purposely started 3 seeds in every pot, and when they were a couple inches tall, I'd take scissors, and snip off the less vibrant of the 3 ... I'd then grow out the remaining seedling, and never had any problems, whatsoever ... I did it that way, because I didn't know it was better for them to be in separate pots ... ignorance is bliss :D ... as to splitting them up, (instead of trying to untangle the roots), I have caused less root damage, by simply snipping the root balls apart with clean scissors :wtf: ... if one of your seedlings is significantly healthier than the others, it's an easy decision ...

Sorry but I'm really confused as to what PurpleWreck did wrong... he needed help with his plants and started a thread in the plant problems forum... where else would they go?

I'm just curious because I don't want to do the same thing...

The thread was originally in feedback and suggestions. Fakeboobsrule moved it already.
