6/12?

hey anyone heard of instead of doing 12/12 for flowering doing 6 on and 12 off?
cuz the buds r forming durring the night cycle?
my question is can you do 6/12 ?

I've never heard of this, but am very curious to find out if it can be done. It would save me some money on electricity and I would think it would make the flower cycle happen quicker. I'll check back on this post to see if any experts chime in.

anyone here attempted this before?
i guess its just science - i dont know how long marijuana plants need light- like the minimum required hours?
i may be stonned but i really wanna know what happens durring the day and what happens at night and why it has to be 12/12 ?
i know cuz it makes the plant think its a season or whatever but lets get technical what actually happens?
someone really experienced would prob be the best to answer this
but any guesses would be great too.
im just wondering because i hear the buds form over night..
