I've read many of the posts discussing the use of synthetics and just figured that I would share my experiences. Maybe this will help to ease the mind of a friend at a later date.

I had to submit a sample for UA on 01/11/10. I went to one of the local shops and bought Magnum Synthetic Urine in the 2 oz. bottle (green and black box). The 4 oz. bottle would have been less than half used. I made certain that I had an appointment scheduled to keep the waiting time to a minimum. On the way to the clinic I blasted the sample with the heater from my truck until the temp was just out of range on the high side, secured the heating pad to it and then crotched it.

My total wait time was less than 5 minutes. The tech. did all the usual from turning the toilet water blue, to locking my pocket contents into the lock box, then politely left the room. I will say that I probably won't use the flip top again, I nearly lost it when I had to release pressure to get more air into the bottle and it made that loud gurgle sound. Not cool! Just unscrew the top instead if you can. I always try to be cool when I'm handing the sample over. Asking to wash my hands worked well for me. The temperature was perfect. Just added my initials and walked out the door.

I haven't gotten my results back, but thanks to this forum I feel much better. I will let everyone know how it goes when I found out. Should only take a couple more days to know for sure.

BurntToast- Thanks for all of the great information.

Let us know how it goes. I may have a UA in a week or so and am planning on subbing with QF 5.7 [should be here tomorrow] and am curious since I'm in FL and LabCorp is the major testing place in town...

Everything worked out just fine. I start the new job on monday! I hope this experience can help put some minds at ease.

One last piece of good advice, I picked up from one of the threads. You can get the exact same adulteration kits the lab is going to use for cheap. In my area they are around $5. Test your batch before you use it. I know in my situation, a faulty sample would have been absolutely devastating.

Good luck everyone!
