i have my app signed by my certifying medical provider for chronic back pain.
however NM requiers two signatures for chronic pain. my doc reffed a couple docs for that but were unable to help for fear of prosecution from the feds..? or whatever reasons. i need a doc that understands medical cannabis. i have records from my accident. i live in the alamogordo/tuli area!

Unfortunately, Im in the same boat you are in. I got my first signature for chronic pain today but still need a second. It's a mortal sin to everyone down here in Lea County as well. My advice is to hit up a friend who is a nurse. Or look up the doc in Alb. or the one in Santa Fe. Hope it goes well for you.

Wow that really sucks for all you medi patients trying to get your stuff together and no Doctors !! Sounds like these Doctors are missing out on some big money here in New Mexico. Wont be long though, until then keep up the fight and be safe.

it sucks because i went to the doc and got my certifying medical provider portion signed and filled out, and sent that in with radiologist reports, and a letter from my chiropractor saying, i see him routinely for back pain. hoping that was enough but got a letter back saying i need another signature. after not being able to find a doc i sent my full records to santa fe. they replied they cannot review and make the decision without another signature and arnt able to reffer any doctors by the nm laws.. this i sooo frustrating. not gonna give up tho i have a doc app next week hopefully it goes well..

Dont give up! It will take a whole lot of frustrated people that try really hard and keep on trying. We are on the ground floor of some good change here. I will try any angle that I can to be a part of this. The more people thaty go to their doctors and request this, the more they will come to understand. This has been SO LONG in coming and everyone knows it... Still it will be extremely difficult for some people.
It is funny. Smokers have had the most to loose for so long...They take the risk and face the punishment. Doctors arent really risking a darn thing except a little false pride. Smokers have always been proud and shown passive resistance to the unfair laws. And many have paid a severe price. If my application does not go through I plan on hassling one doctor a week until hell freezes over. And I will practice passive resistance once every afternoon unti I fet that permit too!

............that almost brought a tear to my eye.......almost. Lol. But I agree. I watched part of the Washington debate today and the positive output of lawyers, politicians, police and citizens was amazing. Even the negative output made me feel better because it was sooooooo ridiculously dumb that it showed just how narrow minded some people have been since the 1930's. I think Washington as well as Cali are soon on the way total legalization and I know that sooner or later, someone in this area is gonna see the same realization and we wont have to struggle with this anymore. But.....even with that in mind....someone needs to hurry up and sign my damn paper, lol.

I've seen two different docs in Alamo, after having the signature from my specialist, and I've gotten a lecture and an "I wish I could". Its so frustrating, and I can't just keep shopping doctors.
I'm holding out hope, but this process is ridiculous.

People need to start protesting against the doctors who won't sign MMJ paperwork.
