I was unaware until I was pricing lights today that there were different types of cfls.
Are the daylight ones better?

Can I use a 30" t5 light strip?

well it depends on what you want to use the cfl's for..
if they are for veg growth then yet daylight aka 6500k is WAY better.
if for flower or for both veg and flower then i would recommend a balance
of ~ 2-1 2700k aka soft white - 6500k aka daylight

and yes t-5 is great from what i have seen/heard

would having a 2 bulb 3000k(flower) 6500k(veg) T5(top) and some 2700k CFL(few everywhere)(flower and veg) be ok?
does it matter to mix the 3000k, 2700k and the 6500k, 2700k?

(tried a search for t5 lighting but it always takes out t5)

i would imagine it would be fine.. as long as you dont keep the bulbs TOO far from the plants.. 2"-3" is the generally accepted distance to keep floro's.

build the box and then show pics and we can help from there..
