I smoked a blunt on the 24th, and smoked 2 bowls over a period of 3 days (25, 26, 27th). No smoking for months before this. I've been 8 days clean, and I've tested myself twice using first morning voids, no dilution, midstream on the 2nd & 3rd using Walgreen's test. BOTH came up NEGATIVE, with strong lines. I'm going to test myself again tommorow to be sure.

I have a job coming that I accepted that only said it was only contingent on "passing reference checks", but I'm scared they're going to test me on my first day of work (It can start anytime between now and the 21st).

Two questions:

1. Should I consider myself safe for a urine test, esp if I test myself tommorow morning with no midstream and it turns out negative?? (I'm using a different brand this time - first check). Also, am I just really, really lucky that I can pass tests this quickly? I just can't believe this, esp given my body type.

2. Do you think my emp would test me on the first day, esp since they know I'm moving from a different state and there was no mention of one thus far??

Thanks,
I'mkindaparanoid

Honestly dude if you passed the walgreens test you should be good on the employment test. The walgreens tests are usually pretty accurate so I don't think that would be a problem. It would prolly cost the employer a hell of a lot of money to get a more accurate test than that. Unless you're applying for a job as an astronaut or professional athlete, then I HIGHLY doubt your employer would go through the extra expense. There is just no way that an employer would risk hundreds of dollars on some crazy test if he doesn't even know if you're even a good employee.

Just don't worry man. It's all gonna be good.

Thanks for the reassurance... I didn't know it was possible for a company to spring a test on you until I started reading some threads.

Does anyone else have any opinions? I know I should feel reasurred, but I'm still freaking out - I can't believe I'm passing now. If I lose this job my life is over.

Shit. I didn't even know you could buy tests there ;o)

Makes me think of a pregnancy test and how many tests a young woman would complete before admitting it was positive...rofl

OK so I just did another test this morning with first check - Non-midstream this time (Again, no intentional dilution - Although I had some water before I went to be and went a couple times during the night... Am I actually diluting?). Again, another healthy negative. Can I rest easy now? And why am I passing so soon? Don't get me wrong, I'm greatful, but based on all the info out there I theoretically shouldn't be passing....

It's not completely unheard of, I have a friend about your size that has only ever failed one test (was on weekly testing for 12 months) due to dilution and he smokes every day. I always thought he was an alien :)

So a little update - I did one more morning drug test using first check, where I intentionally tried to dehydrate myself the day before. So the sample was a DARK yellow.

Non-midstream, came back "borderline positive", with a faint vertical bar on the right side of the test band, and nothing on the left.

I don't start my job (which I'm not sure will even test me) until at least the 14th. They want me to start work ASAP, so I don't want to piss them off by delaying and delaying.

As long as I stay hydrated, and with the gap of time in between, am I OK? Unfortunately I don't have the money to buy another test, although I did order 10 strips from amazon.com that should arrive when I get down there.

Also, to clarify, the single test band had no color on the left side, but a faint color on the right - i.e. a broken line (more like a 1/4 of a broken line, but still). It wasn't a completely faint line. Does this change anything?

Too bad you couldnt scan pix of your test result. Because Im not sure what youre talking about when you say:

Non-midstream, came back "borderline positive", with a faint vertical bar on the right side of the test band, and nothing on the left.

Let me ask you this: Did the CONTROL region (C) and the TEST region (T) both have lines?

If so, thats a negative. The TEST region may have a more fainter line than the CONTROL region but its still a negative.

If the CONTROL region has a line, but the TEST region has no line at all, its a positive.

If neither the CONTROL nor TEST region has no lines at all after 5 minutes, the test kit is a dud, or you didnt do the test right.

If the CONTROL region has no line, but the TEST region has a line, the test kit is a dud.

A properly working test kit must have a line in the CONTROL region.

Here's the test. Sorry for the quality, all I have is a webcam. Please note this is a day old, and the right side of the test line should be (presumably) darker than the left. While I was watching it work, nothing showed up on the left side of the test line, while a faint vertical band showed up on the right. If you look close enough, you should be able to see it.

I decided to get another test (not dehydrate myself this time), do it tomorrow, and see what happens. If I pass, I'm probably going to start work ASAP. I can't take this anymore.

That test result is a negative. You have a nice bold line in the Control region (meaning the test kit is not a dud) and a faint line in the Drug region. A faint line in the Drug region is still a negative.

Not only you misinterpreted the results, but youve looked in the wrong area of the test kit when making the interpretation. The "left and right" deal is just an instructions key on how to interpret the results. You need to look at the top-half area of the kit thats not shaded in light blue.

Sorry for the annoying questions, but even if it's a day old? Even if the line was broken on the testing day?

Thanks, by the way.

Yup. Its still a negative.

If youre still not convinced, take another test with the first morning pee. This time, look at the top half of the sphere thats not shaded in light blue.

Oh thank Jesus.

I'm still going to do one more test tomorrow morning, non-diluted, non midstream, just to give me some peace of mind. I'll update if anything horrible (or wonderful) happens.

Thanks again.

Wohoo!

Just did my first morning test, non midstream, and got yet another nice healthy negative.

That's 5 morning tests with 2 different brands, all negative.

And about 75 bucks down the drain. But who cares! I can start work!

I'll let you guys know if they actually test me or not, but with these results, I should be in the clear.... Right?

With 5 tests that are negative with the first mornings pee, you are definitely good to go....No question in my mind.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
