View Full Version : Clone vendor success stories...

It seems like it's kind of hard to find clones. Between the horror story of the one guy getting caught up in a sting and the posts about mites and such, I'm not sure where to look. Quality genetics is imperative and ideally I'd like to see some of the product that came from the same strain/clone as the clone...

I know a lot of places offer clones, but I think some dispensaries are more involved in verifying genetics (they did the clones themselves) than others who may just take a vendors word for it...

not to mention limited supply. you would think they would have clones of every strain they carry. not the case. inspect them from top to bottom and you should be ok , it is somewhat of a hunt though.

meded so you can mededicate to mededitate

My take is that you need to grow from seed in a pristine environment to never deal with bugs or disease. I had 2 clean years then i started dealing with fungus gnats, thrips, mites, powdery mildew and I find it to just be part of gardening. I grow veggies outside and have to deal with issues out there as well, so the reality of sharing genetics and growing year round are going to bring about a few problems along the way.

Also the reality of plant numbers makes clones not very profitable at all, so you are likely to get plants from an existing grow that can afford to have that many extra plants and they will often have problems. One should just start a good regimen of fighting pests if you have to get plants from anywhere. I bought 2 clones and they looked great for several weeks, but then I found powdery mildew for the first time ever. Not sure if they came from the clones or plants a friend gave me, but the reality is that it is part of the game. That is why top notch herb costs $ and lots of time to produce.

No matter what you are buying in this "legal" market it is buyer beware, as profit motive will rule out and people will sell anything or run any sort of scam.

I was just at delta9 a few days ago.

They had some very nice looking clones. Ton of different strains.

I got my order of seeds from Attitude a few weeks back and am planning a seed grow next go around. But if I do clones again I'll most likely go through D9.

Just make sure that if you get clones from a dispensary to spray them right when you get home and quarantine them for a few days, until you can make 100% sure they are bug free before introducing to rest of garden.

I was very impressed with ordering seeds from Attitude though and am considering ordering more!
