Hello All
I know you guys r probably sick of being plauged with noob questions all the time but any guidance or positive tips would be greatly appreciated. here goes

I will be starting a 6 site bubbleponics drip system in a 30 gallon rubbermaid tote next week. i will be using 5" nets and hydroton with seedligs started in rapid rooter, i under stand that the seedlings should have plenty of roots showing before transfer to the system and no nutes for the first week or two while in the system (correct?). i am using a 6 hub manifold and am thinking i will just dial in a drip to the edge of each plug (correct?) should i time it or continuous? the main question is when i do start nutes which will be ff grow big hydro for veg and ff tigerbloom for flower i planned on having this nutrient mix drip 24 7 on the edge of the plug . this will be the same mixture in the tote itself. would this be way to much feeding for them?

once again i apologize for the question format and for any repeats

any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I got a good friend up your way. Wish he grew. Anyway it looks like you have done some homework in setting up. The drip can be run 24/7 but place the drip in between the rooter plug and the outside of the netpot. So it is not running right down the stalk of the plant. Kind of leading it away from the center. It will help the rootball by not staying soaking wet all the time and cause rot. We have been running our drips at 15 on 45 off or 15 on and 105 off. whatever you start your drips at keep it there. Seems when you change in mid stream they don't like it and will slow down on you till they adjust.

No nutes for the first about 2 weeks of life after that go lite on nutes at first. Then pump them up. If you see the tips start to yellow back off on nutes. This is where a PPM meter really helps.

thanks Loc Nar

so just to clarify you are saying that 24 hr drip is ok just keep it 1/2 way from rr and outside of pot, but u personally dont run 24 hr you are dripping for 15 on and 45 off correct . also what is a good starting ppm and good target ppm for veg / flower or is it just how your plants respond. is ff a good nute to use .

sorry to bombard u but i have been drivin myself crazy (and my wife) thinking and planning this 24/7, hell i even dream about it, i get up to piss in the middle of the night and im thinking about it.

i orderd some royal queen white widow and some green house cheese and hawaian snow, they sent me some free bubbliscious and super skunk so i am going to try my luck with the free ones b4 i try the ones i spent $$ on

thanks again

everything sounds good, but I have had a problem with a drip feed that only
has a single point output as it doesn't wet all the pellets causing the roots to grow basicly on just one side of the pots.
I made loops with 5 or 6 outlets, a coller if you will. it sits between the rooter plug and the edge of the pots, a 5" pot with a 2" or 3" loop

also with the loops I give them an off time ,, 3 min. on 2 hours off, adjust the feed schedule as needed

hope this is clearer than mud, I can post a picture

here is the loop, although I quit using them all together, because they let the green moss grow on the hydroton.

don't use bubbles either I spray the net pots with a ring in the grow buckets
top rocks never get wet so no moss(algea) grows.
