can you use a Red 250 watt light an African Violet miracle grow to grow??? it says that its Ph Adjusted to 6.0 an says safe for seelings so im not really sure if my plant will grow.

Need more info/description on the red light? 6.7 ph is considered ideal for soil. I recommend the MG seed starter mix....+ 20% perlite

its a GE 250 watt red Heat lamp it says but it seems to be doin alright i got it hangin above it about 2 ft away. but where can i get that starter mix at???

Dude, a heat lamp is not designed for growing anything. If its growing, nice work, but I am doubting an incandescent heat lamp will get you very far.

ha yea its growing but i also got a 175 watt MH bulb that im usin for right now. but what do you think i should use ??

get rid of the heat lamp and just use the MH...
and add same CFL's for the flowering if you cant afford a HPS setup
go to a hardware store and ask for miracle grow... the moisture control seems to work for everyone just fine...with some perlite added

alright ill do that. but there is some purple on the leaves already an my plant is only like a week an 2 days old what does that mean?? an i should have some pics up later.
