how long untill you can smoke bud after planting

If i grow a single plant in my house how long will it take to be able to smoke?
Also will it smell up my whole room and house?

it will take about anywhere from 3-5 months from germination to harvest, and for additional quality, another month or 2 for proper curing, read about it first, then ask questions later, capish? Im going to move into my moms big ass atic, she lives downstairs. i would probably put it in the cornerwith some thing hiding it. ill padlock the door but im worried about the smell. im not planning on starting right away ill definately do reaserch first.

1 plant aint gonna smell much ,only a bit more when its nearly done. Keep ur window open some and ur hotter air with any smell will go out it with a fan going.

i got 1 plant growing in my house n it doesnt smell much at all.

grow it to the height u want in veg cycle then switch to the flower cycle and try to stick to the recommended flowering times but all plants vary.
