did you flush for at least 2 weeks before you cut?
that is weird that is smells like hay. did it ever smell like it is supposed to? first i would hang it somewhere to let it slow dry and get the chorophyl out. if your bud seems like it smells like hay, then i would slow dry it so you can get some smooth taste out of it.

Of course it smells like hay...or rather grassy. It's the chlorophyll in the plant. Dry it slow, cure it properly and slowly and the chlorophyll will break down and it'll taste better. Happy harvesting you lucky dog.

it upside down in a closed dvd box, its about 80 degrees. Can I flavor the stuff with lemons or something else? It smells like juicy fruit gum when you touch it and smell your fingers. But the box exudes the hay smell only after i pulled it. im at day #2.

It will take about 7 to 10 day's to dry to the point where you can put them in glass jars and store them in a dark place. Open the lid every day for about 20 minuets then put away. It takes 2 weeks to 30 day's or more for the buds to cure break down the chlorophyll and mellow out to a smooth smoke.

if it feels dry in a couple more days then smoke one. if it burns well then its done enough to smoke another.
