Dial it to 12 o'clock first, try that out, and dial it up and down from there in very small increments. A tiny tap of that knob can make the vape go from perfect to smoky. Grind your herb up real fine, and pack small bowls, preferably one little bowl worth 2-3 hits per head. That is my advice!

Thank you very much, will keep all that in mind.

Don't hit it like a bong. Long slow draws and adjust your temp accordingly. Your spent herb should come out a uniformly dark brown. If there is any black in there, your temp is too high. Any green and your temp is too low.

There is a bit of a learning curve but once you get it down, you're gonna love it.

I was just about to make a thread just like this:

I just got mine yesterday and with some very good dank, I can honestly say that was the most high I've ever been.

However, I still need to get used to it.

How tight should the weed be packed into the piece?
And also, I was trying to figure this out.. after the first few hits (where you can noticeably see the vapor being exhaled), we would take hits and not see any vapor. Are we not getting any? The weed was still green, but we weren't sure if it was hitting right.

I'd love any information/advice from anyone who uses this great vape!

brianlg,
Don't pack anything too tight in there. I always make sure my bud is ground up super fine, then I pack about 1/6th inch in there and ever so gently pack it down. I just try to make sure that the pot doesn't move around inside the wand or fall down inside the unit.

I don't really get crazy hits the first couple times and the most potent hit seems to be the third one.

But honestly, you really just have to do some experimenting to find out what works best for you. There are so many factors (temperature, speed you breathe in, or how your pot was cured) that really determine how the unit should be used best. It takes a while to perfect everything, but try to do it in your own way. It's likely that you will get better results in the end, because you have a more thorough understanding of how the unit behaves and the small changes you can make to affect its performance.

Follow the manual WORD FOR WORD and I know you will get everything right in the end.

Good luck,
Taylor

Well yall have certainly got me appreciating my new little Magic Flight Launch Box. Takes about 10 sec to get it vaping and if somebody happen to leave the battery in it long enough you can even smoke with it. I just wait till it feels warm and start a long slow puff. Its kicking my ass as we speak. :smokin:

Hmm.. Da Buddha Vape beats the sense out of me. I'd turn the dial up a little more than 12.. try 1 or 2. And what kind of weed was it? / pack another! :)

Yeah.. mine got me and everyone else in the room ripped. I wonder why you're not feeling the same affect. I don't really know much about vapes yet, as I got mine right around the time you got yours. I've just heard to keep experimenting with it, but I feel bad if it's wasting your weed. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will have something to say..

It's virtually impossible to diagnose problems over the internet with how you guys are using a vaporizer. It doesn't really matter how experienced the person is on the other end if they can't see how you guys are operating the unit. All we can do is take our best guess. There are WAY too many factors that could alter the performance of the unit (substance texture, substance dryness/cure quality, substance potency, vaporizer temperature, air speed, how full the wand is, and how tight the wand is packed.
However, the most common newbie mistake is simply breathing in too fast. The slower you breathe in, the more time the heater has to heat up the air. If the air isn't hot enough, you don't get any vapor. If the air is too hot, you get smoke and a major loss of efficiency. The best tip I have for newbies, is to BREATHE IN SO SLOWLY IT FEELS LIKE YOU'RE NOT EVEN BREATHING IN. This sounds like a stupid tip, but 95% of first timers get great hits after following that advice.
Remember guys, these vaporizers have a huge learning curve so don't expect perfection or even a decent hit the first time you turn it on. It took me about a week to achieve great consistency in my vapor hits.

Wow I just followed your advice about inhaling on the vape so that you did not even know you was inhaling. Great tip. Thanks. Just got the best hit I've had all week. :stoned:

Hah.. Glad it helped! It always feels really stupid when I try to explain it like that, but it seems to work almost every time.

Another very important factor no one has mentioned yet is to stir your bowl after every 2-3 hits. Personally, I fill up just a small bowl full and take 2 rips then stir and get about another 3 good ones. P.S my first post, yay for me!:rasta:

My Buddha is working fine. I set it at about 2 o'clock, and I fill the whip about 1/4 full, just enough to cover the screen. The trick is to draw in real slow. It's hard, actually. Although at first I thought Da Buddha didn't have enough power, if you breathe in slow, you can get more than enough heat.

The trick is to draw in real slow.It depends on where the temp is set as to how hard or easy you can draw. Set the temp higher and you can draw harder/faster. On a passive whip vape the vaping temp is determined by BOTH the temp setting and how hard/fast you hit it. If a slow draw isn't satisfactory for a particular user, turn up the temp and that will compensate for a faster draw, which brings a cooler air flow.

I would recommend ordering a couple extra Wand pieces ,and also a couple extra "chimney"(the elbow) pieces, they are glass, and you ARE stoned.
;)

I have tried that in the past, and it made the vape less efficient. I have found that the best efficiency is achieved when you breathe super slow and set the vape where the manual says.

The chimney piece you refer to is called the heater cover. I have broken a wand before by dropping it, but I highly doubt one would need an extra heater cover. The heater cover would be pretty difficult to break and is pretty well protected by the metal housing. My SSV has even been knocked on the floor a few times and the heater cover has never been affected.
