A noob question

First grow, specs as follows:

Indoor
dirt
1000W HPS 16" above canopy
fan blowing directly on light
12s/f area (inside large spare bedroom)
70 deg dark 85 deg light on canopy
feeding 15-30-15 with well water as needed and foliar daily
6 bubblegum clones
Started flowering 5 weeks ago when plants were about 18" tall

The plants are flowering profusely now and about 4-5 feet tall. I was concerned that they may get too tall but they seem to have finally stopped stretching(still taller than I wanted). The problem is the buds seem to be plentiful but small. Is there anything I can do to get the plants to fatten up with only 4 or so weeks until harvest.

They just seem to be kinda slow or maybe I'm a little impatient:wtf:

Dude, looking at those, there is probably going to be a bit more than 4 weeks before it's done...Maybe more along the lines of 6 weeks, IF THAT....Also, you want unsulphured black strap molasses.....You can get the grandmas brand in a grocery store...It's unsulphured, but not sure about black strap. It will work though. Tbsp a gallon....

I thought they were slow... I don't mind waiting... Just hope I get a decent yield with good potency.

Is it the size that is slowing them down? What other factors could be affecting the flowering process?

Do I have enough light for this much plant?

They go through a 60/40 phenomena per-se. What happens it that 60% of the flowering process the plant goes through a stretching phase. So when it has completely stopped stretching then you know you have gone half way through. Then the last bit of time the buds will start to swell. Molasses supposedly helps in fatter buds and better flavored bud as well.

Go to a Radioshack, if possible, and purchase a pocket microscope (like $12). Just ask the people and they will find it for ya. Use it when it gets closer to harvest, so you can see the trichomes and harvest when they are at peak. If you don't know what that is, google cannabis peak harvest time and read, read, read! :)
