The plant is about 8 weeks old, and there are a lot of yellow leaves. I have read that this may be a Nitrogen problem, but the soil that I am using is rich in Nitrogen.

The younger leaves are usually green, but I have noticed that they are becoming more yellow as well. Temp ranges from 63-78, humidity is around 30-50%. I have a 400 watt HPS bulb about 2 feet from the top of the plant.

The soil that I am using is: Miracle Grow Potting Mix (SCOTTS MIRACLE GRO 70778300 POTTING MIX+MG8QT/6 - A Black Horse.com, Inc (http://www.ablackhorse.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=100414))

I have included some pictures that will hopefully help determine what is wrong. If you need to know any other info, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,

It's hard to tell colors because of the HPS light, but potting soil with nutes do eventually run out of all the nutes. 8 weeks is more than long enough for this to have happened. Are you on a 12/12 photoperiod yet?

yes, i am on a 12:12 period. any ideas on what kind of nutrients i need at this point? Yeah, I figured the nutes were gone at this point, even tho the bag says it can feed the plant for 3 months...

It is really odd, because some leaves are dark green, but others are very pale and yellow. The younger leaves are generally more green then older leaves.

I know it is hard to tell because of the lights, I will try taking some more pictures and post them later.

Any other ideas/ suggestions would be awesome.

I would bet that senorx is right. There is a chart in the plant problem section that talks about nutes. I have read when ya see a lot of yellow its a Nitrogen thing. That soil thats has the nutes in it is undependable iv seen for myself and others never tell people to use it. Growing outside i think is much easier.

Good luck man and keeper green :weedpoke:

has it always been in the MG soil?

i would go get, some fox farm soil, super thrive and get some fox farm nutes,
big bloom and tiger bloom and u might as well get the grow big since i am sure
u will do another grow. use the grow big for veg and the other 2 for flowering.
then transplant them in to the fox farm soil (try to knock off the excess MG
stuff before re-potting) then mix the super thrive in with ur water, cuz its
helps with stress, and water them. then after a couple of waters add the nutes
at half dose and work up from there

but thats just me and i am no pro by any stretch of the imagination

I agree with twitch...ditch the Miracle Garbage, invest in some good soil/nutes and you will get good buds. I personally have not used any Fox Farms, only CNS-17. My buddy uses the FF lineup, and his buds are stellar. Also, in weeks 4 on a lot of yellowing will occur in large fan leaves. If your plant is otherwise healthy, which I am skeptical about due to their being in MG soil, it may not be an issue.
