I have visited quite a few dispensaries in Boulder County. I noticed that some of the dispensaries are really busy while others are not so busy. I can see why some do not appear busy. Those dispensaries that do appointments only do not seem as busy. While there are a few that do not require appointments, some are supper busy and others are not. The ones that are not busy seem to have very similar products and similar pricing. The people at most of the dispensaries are really nice people but I question whether or not they are in it for the actual cause.

I am beginning to think that some doctors may be receiving large kickbacks from caregivers to send business to certain dispensaries. I do not now this to be a fact. However, I have to question the ethics of some people. Does anyone else feel the same or are you concerned about this?

Kick backs are illegal in most businesses including Real Estate.

Let's face it shaddy people always come out of the wood work when there is money to be made. But I do not want to see this industry with a bad name.

I have also checked into starting my own dispensary and for those of you who do not know there is quite an investment in this before you can see a return. I can see why some dispensaries may be charging higher prices.

On the other hand with the growing competition the prices will be forced to come down. This is what happened in Cali.

I hope that we can not only set guidelines for caregivers but also the doctors office. There is no reason that the doctors should be given kickbacks or sell off their patients to caregivers.
Patients beware of signing over your caregiving rights to the wrong caregiver as you never know the quality or experience of the grower. The curing process is very important. I have had some meds that are still wet and obviously weigh out to be more. I will give them one last shot before I broadcast their name on here.

So far I am a fan of two dispensaries: Colorado Care Inc in Boulder and Patients Choice in Denver. Check them out for quality meds. I was impressed by both quality and service. Colorado Care lowered their prices and did honor their promotional ad from craigslist!!Cheers to them.

I will admit I find some of the scams going on out there quite disheartening. The doctor who I went to seamed to be disinterested in who my CG was. They did recommend a couple of dispenaries. However when they asked who my CG was going to be, I said myself. All they said was OK.

I was told later by a friend that two of the people in the office DID own at least one dispensary and maybe three! :D

So I'd have to think they were in it for the right reasons. If they were in it to just get my growing rights, I'm sure they'd have been more persistent about me signing my rights to them(which they never even asked). Or at least really trying to get me to their dispensories(which they barely mentioned).

I HAVE wondered what it is the doctor was getting out of these "pop up" clinics. I figure,...

A. He/She's either a doctor on the verge of no employment(Frank Burns type).

B. A doctor who is getting a $100 fee for little more then saying YEP and having you sign a no liability waver to cover their butt better then ANY regular doctor visit could. So, no chance of any sueing, no insurance paperwork, No X-rays or other "normal" crud the doctors usually have to put up with or pay out the who ha for. NOT TO MENTION,.. It's the dispenary who paying the rent and doing all the advertising.

Or,.. Now that you mention it.

C. MAYBE a dispensary kick back.

D. Lastly their may be some doctors who just believe in this as a great herbal remedy!

I've personally been leaning toward the easy NON-liable $100 multiplied by 100-300 per day!!

There is no doubt there ARE scams going on. Many people are signing their growing rights over just to save $30-$40 a month or less! OR the guy who called into Tom Martino's radio show. Who Tom asked,.. What did you get the license for? He replied "$75.00". :wtf: Showing HE recieved his license WITHOUT much "Medical" reason, AND that whomever wrote his recommendation didn't really care much about a medical reason.

We can all hope this doctor is simply aware that this works on far more then just pain. But I doubt that is always the case! :(

I keep in mind that MANY of the good growers WERE illegal before this all came to pass. We ALL owe our ability to even get decent meds to people who (if caught) would have been felons just a few months ago. We all know why many people have ALWAYS gotten into this buisness. Because there is a market! Some of those people did it JUST for the money. Making their chosen job legal just brought some of that scum to the surface (as we should have expected).

I am completely against government regulation as well. I fully believe the people will vote with their doller and most of the scum will be pushed aside quite quickly. I'm fine with the state or city/county taxing it. However I find Romers proposal to allow the IRS(A privately owned cartel) to keep detailed records of all sales horrendous! They have NO place in any of this!

Beyond all of that, ALL industry ALWAYS have some scum (see Walmart). Our job is to see our friends and family don't support those with questionable motives, AND to try and assist those who ARE in it for the right reasons. New scum WILL rise! However with the right to free speech, most will fall to the way side.

Addition: I firmly believe this herb has FAR more uses then just pain management as OUR amendment directs. My family has a strong history of alcoholism, addictive drug use, depression and others. I can honestly say THIS one herb has solved every one of those issues that I've experienced. Thus keeping my hard earned dollers out of big Pharma and in the hands of local buisness, Keeping me out of bars, AND ending all desires to buy into the anti-depressant industry. Personally I have severe lower back pain and THAT is what my license was issued for(pinched nerve). So, I believe that allowing a person to get a license who doesn't have any pain, better then forcing someone who DOES to jump through a bunsh of hoops and government red tape to get the meds they need. You never know, maybe that pain free patient has a better purpose for his meds. Like staying out of bars or staying off ridalin.

I have to agree with you all on your points. Most people do have a vice and I would rather see people smoking and stayinjg home rather than drinking and driving. I am happy to be a part of this cause and only hope that the rest of the country follows. I love Colorado and the people here. Thanks for your comments :)

then again if people keep whining about caregivers and how they need to be harsher rules for them.i can say the same for the patient and if these patients keep up with this they will find out how much harder it will be if they keep it up. here's a ?? for the whiners out there, would you rather it be totally ran by the gov instead? regulated to the hilt? you think it costs alot now? i think you need to sit back and use those brain cells alil bit harder b4 you go stirring the big"pot".makes me wonder if your working for the state? cause this is exactly what there looking for people just like you.they get enough whiners like you that are using"compassion" as a crutch then they can come in and regulate this alot more. it erks me people like you and to my surprize theres a few of you out there.makes no sense to rock a boat that is going great.

people like you will whine untill the gov jumps in and then you will sit back and say damn what have we done?now the state has total control...now they want to regulate it like any other drug out there, now they want me to see my doctor every month to get a script for it? damn now i have to pay a doc visit every month just to get my meds man this is bs.+ i have to pay double what im paying now just to get my meds. so my advice would be keep it up and see where it gets ya the state and gov love people like you it helps them get more control........

I recieved my doctors visit and paperwork at Relaxed Clairity in Broomfield. Very nice and also very informative people. (970-412-5955)

As for an actual "card". I assume it's in the mail. Assuming the state is even dealing with it yet. lol

I originally didn't shop at Wallmart because there wasn't one around where I lived. However I watched the strip mall at 72nd and Sheridan get stolen by Walmart "legally". They (from what I've gathered) offered the city of Westminster an increased tax payment AND agreed to re-build Sheridan for the area in front of the store. There were protestors including the strip mall owner out there every day while this was in court. The city condemed the strip mall and essentially gave it to Walmart.

My current boss was contracted to build and sell them 10000 automotive black lights to suction cup to your window. It came with a number of little black light "posters" you could put in the window of the car, or make your own. He invested nearly everything he had into this production. Walmart decided the day before the shipment to cancel the entire order. Almost put my company out of buisness and nearly bankrupted my boss.

We still have over 6000 of these things in the warehouse.

I've only been to Walmart twice. First was a family member gave me a gift certificate. Second was to buy an AIRHOGS helicopter no one else had in stock(I returned it the next day). :D

BTW: I bought food with the gift cert. and noticed that nearly everything I bought cost MORE then at King Soopers. Thus NOT a deal at all.

WOW. I think you might be getting a little out of hand. First of all as a patient the last thing I want to do is have the governement regulate it. That is not what I was saying at all. I realize that there is a huge cost to a dispensary owner and if you had no investment capital even harder to make it work. However, No dispensary owners should have to give kick backs to doctors for the dispensary to get all their business. This is Illegal!!!!. And of course you would say that you are not part of that of it is happening. Mark my words those dirt bags will get what they have coming and the honest dispensaries will remain open. Slow and steady wins the race. We all support the cause here. I am also not saying they sould give the med's away for free. The prices in most cases are similar to the street. I see many ads on craigslist with deals. So I hope you have calmed down we are not saying all caregivers are dirt bags, just some. Like any business they come out.

Sounds like your boss made a bad business decision. Walmart, like all businesses, is in business to make money. Everybody needs to quit whining just because they are really good at it. I like getting my shit cheap. Walmart rocks.
