Can you grow Cannabis upside-down?

ive seen people grow plants upside down and they grow big and rich.
is it possible this will work for cannabis too or is it pointless. :wtf:

I remember seeing someone try it with one of those upside-down tomato planters a few years ago. It didn't work, the roots are programmed to grow towards the earth's gravitational pull or something and they came out the bottom. I'd like to see it work though.

They got those tumbler type things where the plants grow inside a big cylinder rotating slowly around a light...seen em in the back of mags but never in real life so I don't think they do too well either
