Heres the deal: I just popped 6 beans: Greenhouse Churchx5...Reserva Privada Lemon Skunkx1.I have a little 150 w hps starter cab-2'x2'x 15" deep.Just big enough to start 10-4" rockwool cubes(in this case six). The big mama bud pics are Greenhouse Big Bang.Right now they are in the larger finishing tent(4'x4'x7' high-dimple mylar interior)-with 400 watt hortilux hps/250w hortilux blue...I add and subtract different T-5 and led panels(for pretty pics more than anything) in the Big Bang pics(current) theres a 50w 660nm red panel- 1-10w 660nmred spot-1-5w 660nm red spot(I like to play with goofy shit:D...leds fit that bill.... The rockwool cubes were conditioned with Europonic rockwool conditioner(30 mils to 1 gal...soak for 24 hrs...rinse...voila)...the beans were placed into rapid rooter plugs after they popped. The little 150 cab stays around 80 degrees-it has a built in (basic) fan cooling system(not sure of cfm's)...as soon as the big bangs are done(8 weeks as of this post, as well as pics) the cubes will be placed into 5 gal hempy's(bout 2 weeks from now) and vegged for about 5 weeks(they will be extremely lst'd...I want a solid square of branches-donkey d***ks-the 250 mh will be replaced with a cool tubed 400w mh(the 400 hps is cool tubed the 250 isnt) screw the led bullshit this go(T-5's may show up)*I also have a 600cfm fan(with odor sock) pulling hot air* Nutrients:the big bangs got the ole gh flora/bloom booster(Open Sesame) combo. This is the end of a perpetual harvest...3 weeks prior I harvested a Powergrower grown Barneys Farm Nightshade(178 gms dry)-also pictured. This round I'll be using Technafloras Grow and Bloom combo-with Open Sesame after week 3 of 12/12+ Cal Mag+

and adding the metal halide really brought out the resin(uv) and the purple in the leaves and calyx's...I'll be sticking to this hps/mh combo.I'm sure yield will be slightly reduced...but I'm a legal med grower-quality is really first to me, as it's only me and the Mrs(+ friends) using this product:rasta:

I'm very curious about the hempy method, hope ya dont mind a few questions.
1) Does this method require a transplant during the grow? Because I've seen some grows that have smaller buckets, like Gatorade bottles and such, and then some likes yours with the 3gal.
2) How many times daily do you feed them?
3) Do you reuse the solution?
4) Does missing one feeding devastate the plants?
Thanks man, and not shits been up, just been making tons of models.

-C 1) I wouldnt say it's required(a transplant)-do you mean planting seeds or clones straight in? Sure. And just the same with any container growing-size dictates the size(yield) of the plant-watering times etc. 2)I water about every 3rd day until slight leakage- every 4th watering I flush with 5.5 ph-RO water...3)The solution, whatever dosent leak out, is used at leisure by the plants...the residual dries up in the drip tray(not much)..4) no.. this is a basically foolproof system
when you flipped the big bangs to 12/12? they we're about 12"...vegged(unfortunately) under cfl's...no choice at the time

I might have to try that light combo. worked out nice from my angle! thanks frosted...I can say for sure that the "boosted spectrum"(talkin outta my ass here) definitely added aromas, and colors(the purple in particular)...cant explain why...read about it in a DJ Short book...I'm trying to scrap funds(X-mas is killing me) for a 400w digital mh ballast to replace the 250, I ended up with 2 healthy church seedlings...2 didnt sprout...2 sprouted but were lagging(so I X'ed em) I'll have pics tomorrow of the 2 baby sprouts...seeds take forever

So you say perpetual harvest?...after you harvest those beasts do you start the veg cycle all over again?

How did you get your plants to stay so skinny but tall. Is that just the strain you were growing or was the the LST technique. Nice grow by the way.

So you say perpetual harvest?...after you harvest those beasts do you start the veg cycle all over again? The last harvest(the Big Bang) was the end of a perpetual grow I had with that strain, and Barney's Farm Nightshade.About a year of that...got old.Right now I'm just trying different strains, collecting clones for possible moms.Lol...just basically tryin to get my shit together again.I've never scrogged before, I'd imagine you could re-veg a strain like DJ Shorts Flo.But I'd imagine you'd need a strain that produces bumper crops consistently. We'll all find out together, how this strain pans out.
How did you get your plants to stay so skinny but tall. Is that just the strain you were growing or was the the LST technique. Nice grow by the way. Thanks brother, I think they went all tall and straight is because I had too many plants crammed in a 4x4 tent with just 650 watts goin.Thats why I've been a good boy, saved up, and next week I'll be upgrading to a 1000w hps...I need some decent pulls here-650w is OK-but, I grew with a 1000w hps for 3 cycles about 5 years ago-and nothing has come even close since.I'll SOG again after this, but with 1000w of hortilux hps lighting up a 4x4 grid. UPDATE- well...the front plant was a male, from a f-in pack of fem seeds no less.It all happened yesterday-clear cut case of mistaken identity, besides, I've never got a rooster from a pack of fems before-greenhouse:mad: But it works out-I didnt realize how crowded the big girl(well...the only girl) was on the screen. She took right away, to the extra space

that sounds hella good! How much did your temps chAnge qith the new light? lower now. Before I sealed her up(basically set the exhaust to vent if temps spike dramatically-88 degrees) temps werent much above ambient. With her sealed up with co2 and passive venting I'm at 82 degrees.I just ordered a 12000 BTU portable AC unit which will be set to 84 degrees.Really I'm just tweaking this now man-which is really the cool part for me.Heres my farewell to micro tents grow.Which sucks because they're like my little passion projects. But room is needed for moms.
