Ok guys, most of you old timers might remember me but I am only popping in here for one question and one question only. If you make a hydro system out of PVC piping, would the chemicals from the plastic polymers or any other chemicals used in PVC production harm the roots of a cannabis plant if they are laid on the pipe and a constant stream of water was ran on the roots? I need educated answers. Thanks to all.

I washed all my pipes & tubing with soapy warm water after cutting to length and prior to gluing together. Never had a problem. But converted back to soil because of bud rot when I ran Hydro.
Did have trouble before germing in a foam meat tray.

you will be fine. Many professional systems are currently being offered for sale and they use PVC vinyl in their construction. I have used PVC before and I copied the design from a successful design so I know that worked as well. PVC is not an issue for your plants. The little plastic PVC shavings on the other hand left over from construction are a pain in the butt though so be cautious with your waste shavings.
