Alright so I am experienced at indoor growing and I have a very secluded spot that I am going to grow outdoor in. My plan is to start take some clones of my earliest finishing strain and my biggest yielding strain. Im going to veg them for 4 or 5 monthes, and then plant them outside big holes filled with quailty potting soil in spring. I will then plant them one by one over a couple of weeks at 4 in the morning to make sure no ones sees me.
Alright so correct me if Im wrong-
1. since they are clones I can give all of them equal attention knowing that they are going to female and bear me many buds.
2. since They will be like 2 or 3 feet tall by the time of planting Im guessing that yield should be huge. (I want to get at least a quarter pound out of each plant but if i yield more than I guess Ill take it :)
I plan on having maybe 10 or 15 of these ladies too so I got $$ on my mind.
I know its still a long way off but do my plans sound reasonable, or am I gunna spend all of the time growing these monsters only to be dissapointed by yield in the end?

BIG NO NO !!!! I plan on having maybe 10 or 15 of these ladies too so I got $$ on my mind. read rules before posting...using things like that wont get you any help...not trying to come off as an a hole.just giving you the heads up....
read through the paiges...just make sure u have lots of sun, good soil, ferts and water.....if all goes well you have more than enough bud to release some stress..

no selling! Plants get huge outdoors anyway, 15 plants would yields many many many ounces and many many ounces will get you many many years in jail.
good luck.

I smoke copious amounts of marijuana. I probably smoke maybe 20 to 40 dollars worth to myself daily. When I $$ on my mind I mean I save probably 400-500 dollars a month on . I cant just have 2 or 3 plants because Ill smoke that shit in a couple of weeks. The reason I want so many is so I can go for months without paying crazy amounts of money for a dried flower!!!!
Also the soil around my area is shit and is monstly clay. In order to counter this I was going to dig HUGE holes for each plant and put some fox farms ocean forest in them. Eventually theyll outgrow the potting soil into the clay but Im assuming that the root systems will be strong enough by that point.
Anyone done anything similar?

It is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you synch your indoor light cycle with the natural outside light cycle before you move them outside. If you do not they will start to flower immediately, not grow, and could get seriously fucked up and not recover. Never do plants under a 24 hour light cycle if they are going to go outside. For example if your plants are under a 18/6 cycle, and you put them out in April when the natural light cycle is at 14/10 they will start to flower. Since the days are getting longer, the plant will get confused, try to go back into veg and not finish flowering. Going back and forth like this is REALLY bad for the plant and I have seen them not grow again for months after this happens to them.
You need to figure out what the length of the days are when you want to put your plants outside for your location. Let's say you want to put them out on May 1st when the days are 15 hours long. If you have your clones under an 18/6 cycle that means you need to reduce the light cycle by three hours before they go outside. The natural light cycle changes by 15 minutes a week which is what you want to replicate. So, since I want to be at 15 hours of light indoor by May 1st, that means by the first week of February I need to start reducing the light cycle indoor by 15 minutes a week. If I start this in February I will be down to 15 hours by May 1st and the plants will not go into shock when I move them outside.
DO NOT RUSH THIS PROCESS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. The absolute fastest you can adjust plants is one hour a week but this is a little rough on them. For example I was gifted some clones early last summer when the days were 15 hours long and the clones had been grown under a 18/6 cycle. I ran them for one week at 17/7, one week at 16/8, and one week at 15/9, then put them outside and they did OK.
You need to be sure the plants are hardened off before they go outside too. Natural sunlight is far more powerful than even the best indoor grow light and you can burn the crap out of them if you are not careful. Always put your clones under shade cloth or something like that when you first put them outside so they can get used to the more intense light. If the leaves feel "soft" at all they are not ready yet.

On another note:
The size of the clone when it goes outside makes much less difference than you would think. What you do to it after it goes outside will make a FAR bigger difference than how big it was when it went outside. I' did some side-by-sides this year with clones that were 3" tall, 18" tall and one that was 36" tall when they went in. Within 6 weeks there was no difference in size. By the end of the year the 3" clones actually got bigger and yielded better than the 36" clone. I've seen this many times in other gardens too.
Also, if you are in clay soil make sure your holes drain out properly. The problem you can encounter doing what you are thinking of doing is that you can accidentally make a "bog" of sorts because the water will not drain out due to the heavy clay soil surrounding it. Thus the water can end up just sitting in the nice bag soil that you filled the hole with that has such great water retention ability and not drain properly. If you can do it an in ground drain or a raised bed this will help a lot.

they thing is that my spot is in a canyon with a stream flowing through it. Its actually reeeeaaaaallllyyy steep and I think drainage isnt a concern, it will just flow downhill. I live in Western Washington state so there are tons of ferns and other plants that will help my plants blend in. Part of the reason i choose it is because is so god damn steep and hard to get too. The stream is going to do me wonders because i plan on getting my water from it, rather than packing it in.
I also have another question, these are clones of plants ive been growing for quite some time indoors, will the finished product be similar when grown outside or will it be totally different in the end?
