Hello,
My name is Jonathan and I am in the golf business. Can't tell you all how happy I am to have found this site!!Not because I'm a "social" smoker, but as I'm going to move to California in the near future,I will soon be a medicinal patient and looking to learn about such.I have known about the medicinal uses of marijuana for quiet some time.Unfortunately my state does not promote the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.
I started smoking when I was a little younger than I would like to admit. This was,of course , as a result of peer pressure.Soon after I learned that marijuana is used medically to ease pain of various medical conditions.I then realized what it actually did for me.I didnt really pay any attention until i heard this, I just smoked "socially".
You see, when I was 12 years old I fell out of a tree breaking my back.It was a "compression fracture" of the l1/t12.Unfortunately I dont think the disks "decompressed" as they should have in the healing process.I wore a back brace for 6 months after the 2 weeks in hospital.Through schooll and everything ,you cant imagine the crap I went through w/ teasing from other kids (but thats another story) .Anyway since this accident I've had chronic back problems especially during cold days and damp days.
Long story short, I realized how it actually helped my pain soon after my smoking freinds told me long ago.I've been "self medicating" for 20+ years now,not as a social smoker, but actually for a purpose. One of the reasons I'm moving to california is to be able to medicate legally. My doctors recomended I do so in the past but have never really thought about it seriously until now.
I 'm sure I'll have questions and this is the reason I'm happy I found you guys/gals.I'm looking forward to meeting you all and participating in the forums. This looks like a great site and I'm thankful i found you.Being that i'm moving to california I'm also looking forward to and would appreciate any information to help during the move.Things like ,where to rent rooms/apartments.Being that I'm not familiar w/ California I'd really appreciate well intended advice.I'm sure I'll get good advice I've been reading through post and you all seem real cool!!
Anyway I think I might have rambled a bit too much. Thanks for having me people!Looking forward to meeting you all.
Jonathan
