i'll just buy 3 and 3 and do a comparison cause friend of my owns a hydro store and i could get it for cheap like 20% off
how to save $450 on trays and only spend $60 at home depot to build your own(i paid $110 only it would be $330)
next will be how to wire a 240 plug to a t-104 timer
i 'am not doing the breaker box electric no more if you have question just ask me cause i dont want to be responsible for some dumbass getting shock

as an electrician, looking at how you installed your wiring makes me bite my fingernails! nowhere near min. code!! for those wires to be exposed like that they need to be in conduit. and why are you using 3 wire nm into the breaker box? if you plan on hooking 2 hot wires up to one neutral wire your going to have major problems with induction heating. i see fire written all over this.
that isnt a chopped up extension cord going into your timer box is it??

i ain't no electrician but i know my shit works and fuck no that ain't a chopped up cord u crazy it's a 10gauge wire you should know if you are a electrician but forget all that i ain't explaining no more electric work cause ya on some other shit as long as i know that my shit works that's all i care

You having any air cooling for all those lights? It always strikes me just how much more is involved with even a small room as compared to my grow box. Different task entirely.

fliker i dont see how they are exposed... they run in the back of the box like any wire should...
i like the glass.. i want a double bub soon those are crazy, whats the flow like. i have a triple perk bong and it is kinda hard to hit.. not bad and very smooth but more resistance ya dig?
love the setup hope you put it to good use, jk i KNOW you will

i did but it was only 4in didnt really do shit(like a 3 degree different) trying to step it up to 6in i already have vortex 8in fan brand new this is what i'am trying to get
6 AC daystar with 6in aircooled
3 600hps hortilux & 3 600hps solarmax so i could do a comparison
And for the bubbler, it's some funny shit cause it do look kinda scary and intimidating but its hella smooth and once they hit it they start laughing cause its so smooth but not realizing it could be fatal cause after 2 to 3 hit you wouldnt even know your name hahaha

you should have all your loose wires ran in a piece of conduit, or leave them in cable form. if you have alot of power running through those wires from your timer to your outlet boxes, your going to have problems with heating. the wires need to be close together else it causes induction heating. yeah it may work, but that doesnt mean its right. i guess when your house starts on fire, it will all be ok, because you wired it up correctly right?
also the way your converting the 240 load to a 120 load by splitting it with the white wire, is a very bad idea. you need to run 2 seperate cables. else, once again induction heating. that means FIRE! i suggest you either fix your wiring or take down the pictures of the way you wired it so others dont try fallowing in your footsteps and attempt to do this with apsolute no knowledge on this subject. not trying to be a dick, trying to help you out.
get some metel boxes, some box connectors, some nm box straps, and a new length of cable and it will be right. not much to it, but dont leave it how you will have it. you will save yourself alot of trouble with 20 bucks worth of stuff.

i've been using this wiring setup for 3 grows(7 months) already and my buddy has too for 5 years and he was the one that taught me how to wire it and as far as i know ain't no fire at my house or his house, so if you think it's wrong i be gladly to have you wire it for me, also i had a third friend come over which is a electrician to check it out too and he told me it's fine (he also wired his own shit running 8 1000w and aint no fire at his house buddy)
or if you like tell me how to wire it and i rewired all of it your way and see how good it works

how to use EZ clone?
1. do i dip the clones into a cloning gel or just leave as is
2. do i put clonex solution in the water of reservoir or just leave the water as is with PH adjusted
3. do i dip clone and pour solution in reservoir
these are the 3 answer i got from some hydroponics store i call
some say dip it in clonex gel and dont pour nothing in the reservoir just use pure water
another say dont dip it and use clonex solution for the reservoir
another say dont dip and dont use solution
so which is it?

some say dip in gel..
i personally have had 100% without any cloning agent.. only 2 but both have made it so far! so however you end up doing it i am sure it will be fine man..
but i have heard GREAT results with dipping stalk INTO the gel.. sounds like your best bet.. IMO that is.

thanx buddy i'am ready to cut some rite now some purple kush and purple urkle how long did it take to root for yours

root.. like a week..
to start to grow? it has been 3 weeks and it is JUST starting to really grow.. but then again it had to revert to veg first :( so it has been a wait..
check the new thread in grow logs by me if you wanna see how clones do with no gel or w/e..

this forum is from grasscity by a username "prayn4magnesium"
After years of my tried and true method I decided to hope on the band wagon and pick up an ez cloner 60 & 30 (both for testing, and shits and giggles). Unaware of exactly what the magic formula for success was I started to play. I tried so many traditional techniques and a few off the wall techniques too. I'm far from amateur and started to doubt my problem solving skills when the nut was finally cracked.
The system is releasing a fine mist into the chamber creating a rich air/water ratio. This is the cloners greatest strenght. Any gels or dips are limiting this rich ratio from entering the cut stem which delays results. So drop the dips and gels. Instead pick up some Root Excelurator (Not cheap but works great, saves time). Add .3 ml per liter of fresh clean water (pH before adding root excel to 6.3). People are gonna fight me on the pH range. it's true hydro/aero pH is best between 5.5-5.8 but thru trial an error I found 6.3 pH pops out roots 3-4 days faster.
Stick a temp probe inside one of the foam disc a few inches deep to get an acurate root zone temp. Keep temp of water at 71.6 for best results.
The ez cloner system is notorious for heating the reservior water above optimal levels. Once the water tempt starts to climb above 75 degrees the terrain becomes primed for bad bacteria to colonize. I found hydrogen peroxide sanitization limits the root excel compounds results pretty significantly. The best solution is to drop temp if getting too high with a timer. The best recycle time is 15 min on 15 min off. Lights should be 18 inches away. Clones need vary little light, less is more here.
Notes:
Tried several root compounds; Jump start, Olivia's, Clonex, Super Thrive, root tonics, root excelulator, and so many others. Root Excelulator by far works the best!

Radical grow bro!
Rooting agents are baloney! Just bubble or mist that stem until it does it's thing and wait for the tiny hair-roots show to plant it.

it's called 10-3 gauge wire. i have a 30 amp with 10-3 ran to a 240v 4 outlet box myself. with that you can run up to 6 1k's of lights off a 30 amp instead of only 3.
Felixthecat
02-01-2010, 06:36 AM
3 1k's are only 15amps you could run that on the 30amp breaker with no problem for sure but 6 1k's are 30amps and the breaker is only 30amps so how do you run that cause the available is only 24 out of a 30 ( i remember my electrician friend told me that too, my wiring setup with the 10-3 wire it could handle 6 1k's but i ask him the breaker is only 30amp and with all 6 1k's it would be 30amp so how can it be? )

Looking real nice felix, one day i would like to run a setup similar to this.
My local hydro shop recomended the EZ clone (even though MJ is not mentioned) he says he gets 98% of the babies to root without using any gels.
I will be keeping up with this thread as it looks amazing..
BTW how many girls you have in there? or how many do you plan on having?

02-01-2010, 11:22 AM
there are 11 and only one clone has a slow rooting problem so i guess i did pretty well for first time, but also thanx to the guy from grasscity his info helped a lot. the next one i'am gonna fill them up hahaha hope it goes good.
your local hydro store don't help you guys with MJ, thats fucked up then why they sell there shit to you for, everybody know wtf a "HYDRO STORE" is for, yea u gonna buy some expensive ass lights for tomatoes hahahahaha a lot of these people who buy this shit is legal anyways with there papers to grow there shit

hey folks i'am back, the last round didnt really go well cause my ballast start going out and i had root rot but that's what i get for being cheap using the 4in rockwool cube instead of the 6in like they say "you go cheap, you grow cheap"
