Can MJ help?

My father has a bad liver from being an alcoholic most of his life... They said eventually it will turn into cancer and he has to take tons of pain meds all the time. I was wondering if MJ could help him ease his pain and maybe slow down the cancer cells?

Also I dont know how to approach him about trying it... I cant stand seeing him pop pills all day...

I'm sorry to hear about your father.

I'm no doctor but I will elaborate some of what I DO know, possibly if I'm incorrect someone else will correct me and help out as well.

Pills can be good for only one thing and that is to abolish pain. Though only for an extent. Once he'd become tolerant to the pills he'd need either more OR stronger doses which in that case can become almost fatal if not careful. Another note, taking pain pills for any pain or disease is by far the worst thing you can do to your body especially when you get older thats when your body stops functioning due to the medications and then guess what? More medications to counter act the other medications and help deal with the pain. The medical industry has ruined peoples lives for years and what is the one thing they stear away from that is the most positive in almost every aspect? Marijuana. Sorry for the tandrum but as I was going along with most medications have pros and cons of side effects. If there is a negative side effect then there are two options, he can either stop taking those ones in particular or take another set of pills to counter act the negative side effects of the first type of pills. So you see that can go on and on, I see my mother popping pills a lot. She has all kinds I can't even remember nor care to know what she is taking. But each other pill she has is counter acting the others so it's a spiral down the drain type of deal here. In her case she'd rather take pills then risk the legal actions.

My grandmother was in the same position, she is currently in the hospital due too pneumonia but on a side matter she has just as much possibly even more medications then my mother. At one point in time she ran out of medication and had no money to get her prescription filled, so then I did what I always do due to pain (If possible) I rolled her two joints and she smoked them all and her pain was dealt with.

Now it has been said and I've read in a couple of articles that Marijuana has been able to promote and produce brains cells and prevent head, neck and throat cancer. I would not doubt the fact that Marijuana could reduce the process of what you said could soon to be liver cancer? In all it may help me out a lot, Marijuana has many many positive aspect and the list goes on and on. I'd advise if you can possibly get in contact with a Marijuana Dispensary and ask them. See if they can answer your questions, also try and do as much research as you can on your spare time. Though cancer is a ticking time bomb so there is a chance that there is a time frame.

Try talking to him about it, do some of personal research, get the facts and let your father know. See if he'd be willing in doing so.
