Hi, I recently have been playing aroud with vaporizers for the last few weeks. So far I've had mostly positive experiences, but still looking for guidance on proper use. The first vape I had was a box like vaporizer much like the hotbox or the vaper bros model. It was kinda of a cheap imitation that didnt really have a brand name, and unfortunately fizzled out after a few days. I guess that what you get for rushed purchasing. Anyway after doing some research I came upon da Buddha Vape. Ive been playing around with it for the last hour here, and still feel like I'm doing something wrong. I follow the heating instructions and turn it full power for about 2-3 minutes and then turn it down to about 12 o clock or 2 o clock at the most. Usually my first few hit produce a pretty visible cloud of vapir then it kinda of stop, so I stir try it again, sometimes I get visible vapor when I exhale sometimes I dont. I know that if Im doing anything wrong its my draw. I understand that the draw is very personal and varies from person to person, and I am for finding out my own method. However, I do have a few buddies that want to use the vaporizer, so how personal is learning the right draw? Could you teach someone your method, or do you have to find it out your own. Can you guys advise me on could draw types and temps? Like I said I dont mind taking the time to figure out proper draw and temp, but if there is a standar on which I should be shooting for I would love some pointers.

Just got a DBV about 3 weeks-1 mo ago myself, and my wife and I are going through the same learning process. Temp and draw seem to be completely interdependent, i.e. to get the same type of hit at a lower temp requires a slower draw. Too high a temp or too slow a draw results in burning. It seems to be herb dependent, too. I've got some island sweet skunk that I can get really good rips from, but some sugar skunk that, well, not so much. Oddly though, very often even though I didn't seem to get much of a hit, 10 minutes later I'm ripped. Still beats smoking in any event.

Ya just gotta keep experimenting till you hit the sweet spot, but typically, very slow, long draws is best. If you find that the ABV is coming out too black, than lower the temp but keep your draw the same. If it's still green, raise the temp but keep the draw the same. You'll get it. Just takes a bit of practice. The Buddha's a great vape. Very wise purchase.

Yea, I like it alot. My buddies got a volcano, and that seems to me to be more of a party vape. I've raised the temp and gotten pretty thick hits of vapor, but I thought ideally the vapor that you exhale should be misty like. Then again the bi-product after im finished is never extremely black(got that with my old vape) I know exactly what you mean about not getting a huge hit and being high though. Even when I seem to exhale small amounts of vapor after a few hits off of it Im so much more high then I usually am if I was smoking a pipeor even a bong. Ill keep practicing its fun experimenting cuz in the long run I always end up high haha, but for future reference if the vapor is dense is the setting too high? As long as the weed doesnt turn black am I too assume Im not combusting the bud? Oh and thanks for the help guys its really awesome to get some know-how from people who have more experience then myself.

...I dont know if double posts are bad, but at any rate I just spent a good hour fiddlin with da buddha, and after some trial and error...wow Im just amazed. Changing my draw made a huge difference, slowing it down to a more slow steady draw dramatically improved my experience. I found a good temp round 2'oclock and then when I got the draw down it was magical:stoned:.

You are simply breathing in too fast. I know you are likely going very very slow but there is a huge learning curve on these things. It took me a week or so before I perfected the draw. But it's like riding a bicycle, so once you learn you'll be all good. What I always tell people, is that you have to breathe in so slow it feels like you're not even breathing in. Watch the wand carefully, and you will eventually see a fine white mist traveling through it.

Also you probably shouldn't turn it up past 12 o'clock. When you go up to far on the temp you will lose efficiency, and If you go up way to far on the temp you cause combustion (which turns the bud black). Your vaped bud should be brown when you're done.

My bud is just lightly browned when Im usually done vaping the weed, and thats at about 2'o clock on the dial. I've heard that this is a pretty adequate temp. Dont know though, Ill tone it down and see what happens. Also, I've been using a standard metal grinder to grind my buds up. I get pretty good vape hits from it, but lately ive been throwing it in a strainer after grinding it so I get that really fine weed. I've seemed to get some pretty good vape hit from that. Is it better to get you weed really fine or should just putting it through the grinder do the trick? I've also been working packin less and drawing slower.
