So I made this pc grow box.
Is it alright to hook up both of the fans to one adapter? It works just fine but I don't know if it's a fire hazard or something.
any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
lmk, thanks!

Whats up.
Yes both fans on one adapter will work fine. Ive used 7 fans on one adapter before.
Ive been using the hell out of a PC box i made. I use it to germ seeds and veg for a little while before they go into my tent.
Its come in handy but ill tell you i have had to rework the shit out of it. Biggest issue is heat. make sure your fans are sucking hot air out. Also the lights should be mounted across the top not pointed down to give more vertical space for growth and heat buffer. I actually mounted a fan hanging under the bulbs to make sure they dont burn.
Also you might want to add two more lights. I use three 6400 and one 2700k. It makes the plants bushy as hell. Sorry about all the extra info I just dont want you to go through the pains i did.
Also I hope you have a dwarf strain because its way too hard to take a regular strain full cycle in a pc case... even with LSTing. Not impossible though.
Another good tip is to cover your passive air intake area with some panty hose, or if your fans are powerful enough, some dryer sheets. This prevents all the nasty stuff that is on your floor from getting sucked in and getting to the plants.
Dont forget to get some cheap flat white spray paint or myler for the inside and not tin foil. All the reflectiveness you can get is important when using CFLs.

The way you have your lights is not giving you maximum distribution. put them side ways, that way you get maximum output per light. Plus you will be able to let the plant grow higher. you want to up the number of lights your have. I would say 4-6 cfls, if you can fit them.
The more lights the bushier your plants get. :rastasmoke:
When growing don't let it grow too high while vegging, because it can double while flowering. Then you could run into trouble.
Best of Luck :hippy:

Thanks for all the help everyone!
When I put the lights in the other way they are touching the other side of the PC case. I'm afraid this would be a fire hazard. Especially when I put the mylar in it.
Is it alright if the light is touching the pc?

Yes the lights can touch the pc case. The safest way is to use something small as a spacer between surfaces to avoid worries... I used small pieces of metal i found around the house. I attached one end to the top of the pc case pointing down and pressing the actual fixture downwards just a tad so the bulbs themselves did not touch the case.
Im not sure if the bulbs would burn the mylar if they contact it. I wouldnt think so since I thought they use Mylar to shield fire fighters from extreme heat (those weird looking silver get ups they wear).

After looking at your pic again...
Was wondering if those are standard PC type fans... If so it looks like you have one sucking out and one blowing in. If so, not the best idea for the PC case. If thats the case then you should simply flip one around so they are both sucking out. You should have another mount for a fan near the bottom front of the case. This should not be sealed off so that fresh cool air can enter passively. You want to create a negative air pressure inside the case to draw cool air in.
