I need advice from experienced growers on the ideal temperature for a sealed room using co2. I've heard that it's lower than the normal 80-85 degrees.

You should get one of those Co2 PPM meters for your room, And a nice timer of course. They have manual Co2 checkers for $9.00 and it is + or - 40ppm. good enough b/c it should avg. around (i forgot) 2000-2500 ppm (i may be wrong here, its in the bible) only while the lights are on of course. off topic but whatever. 70F-75F for sure is optimal.

why does altitude make a difference? I thought it was 70-80, not 80-85 - is that for high alt?

My understanding is that the supplemental co2 will allow higher temperatures than without, so I would think 80-85 would be ok. I also understand that they will use more nutes. I've never heard that altitude makes any difference to optimal temp, w/ or w/o co2.

You can go up to 85 degrees with a sealed room and CO2. Altitude is all a state of mind in this case. The higher da better!

Thanks for the replies, especially about the manual co2 gauge. I talked to a dispensary owner in Boulder who runs 95 degrees with 2000ppm's. He also uses co2 in veg and in cloning but the c02 level and temps are lower for the clones. However I won't bring my temps over 85 to start out with because I've seen multiple co2 grows stick with that maximum temp.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced co2 setup? I'm about to buy a 50lb tank and a regulator but I'd like to find a good price on a co2 controller/monitor
