.2) Distance from tops? ~12"
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...) Magnum XXXL
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? Yes
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? Yes
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? On 18/off 6

Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...) NFT Hydro sytem. Using mostly all AN nutes listed on the nutrient calender
.8) Size of container. 27 gall
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? No

Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? Tap water...pH of 6 before adjusting. ~60ppm before adding nutes
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...) pH pen
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...) Ph up and down
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? I add about 8 gallons every week
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...) Mother Earth
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? Stable
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph? Same...6.5
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? No

Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors? Indooe
20) What size of closet, room or hut? 7x4'
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? ~80 when on...~74 when off
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? No

Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) OG Kush
24) From seeds or clones? Clones
25) Is this an autoflower strain? IDK

My real problem is that I am getting a little mold on my roots. It is white and is right where the roots come out of the baskets and droop int the water. Any ideas? Please help me solve this prob...I am about ready to switch to flower and want to solve this first

Got any pics? Are you sure its not just new roots forming? Sometimes the tiny little roots covered in fuzzy white hairs looks similar to mold.

Definitely not roots...really looks like mold to me

Looks pretty funky... I had that same white mold on my hydro. Same location too. I solved it by spraying it with hydrogen peroxide localized on the mold. I dont know if this is the correct way to do it but it worked wonders for me.

What percentage hydrogen peroxide and to what ratio with water in a spray bottle?

3%, you shouldn't have to dilute it, it evaps into water pretty quickly.

Okay so I sprayed it on the roots...here is the photo of the mold bubling away and dying. How long should I have to spray it on for...a couple of days?

Okay so I was wondering if you guys could look at these pics and let me know what kind of problems I am having? It looks like the leaves are growing really skinny and are curling up. Anybody have any ideas? Do you think it has to do with the mold?

those brown roots are possibly showing rot, go ahead and run a H2O2 dose with your hydro solution ... I would add hydrogen peroxide, and let it run thru your system for a couple days, along with your nutrients, or with plain water ... keep in mind the peroxide will also kill off the beneficial bacteria, along with the bad ... so, after treatment, flush well, and add some Fox Farm Grow Big, or similar bacteria culture additive, to replace the missing organisms ... lay off the nutrients, until the plant perks up ... I wish I could give you a dosage on the peroxide, but I usually just tossed in a quart bottle, per couple gallon container of water ... not very scientific, I know :wtf:

Okay so I poured a pint into my 27 gallon setup. Hopefully that is enough to work.. I am using AN, so do you think if I add only SensiZym after I run the H2O2 I should be alright? Or which ones should I add? Also, should I run another week of veg before I switch?

Do u have any way of refreshing the air in the root chambers? they need a fresh supply of oxygen, u could pick up some cheap air pumps and run lines into the root chamber, thats what i do. That might be the reason for the leaves curling down, as the roots will start to become useless when they rot. I would keep them in veg until u sort out the root issue. Adding h2o2 to the water will def. help out for the first week but u cant keep using it. I'm guessing the air is becoming far to stagnant. Once the plant picks up and the roots look better u could switch right into flowering, when there under stress, it's a pretty bad time to start flowering.

Great idea, I maneuvered a fan to somewhat blow into the chamber. The water is pretty well oxidized but I never though about the air in the chamber itself. I think that should help a lot for the rot. Thanks a lot man.

To any mods...is there anyway I could keep an open forum just in case I run into further issues? Maybe change the thread title? Thanks in advance for any help :rastasmoke:
