hey,
really hope they'll be ready for flowering by next week, and the moms are still really tiny, would like to be able to take clones in about a month... think it's possible?

yup, should be cutting clones in a month. You can start flowering anytime now. Myself, I like to veg for 6-8 weeks usually. My present grow I had some plants at 6 weeks and some plants at 10 weeks when I flipped them.

man i would have already flowered them plants if you are gonna keep them in that hydro system till they finish...your not gonna want to much sid branching because it can cause mold in tight places where there is no air flow...Just a suggestion..Im used to running plants in tight places and you wanna flower them quickly so they grow a single cola stick plant! Good luck..everything looks perfect and clean!

the plan is to take the best 9 of those 12 and move them into the flowering chamber, then start clones in that chamber whenever the moms can take it.

I'd take the best 1 or 2 of them, and keep them as moms. (Or at least, take some cuts from them if you want your moms in soil.)
Are your 2 moms in soil, or is that coco or some other soilless medium? (Those are awful big pots, if that's dirt.)

the moms are in 1" rockwool in coca... you think I should replace those two with the best 2 of the hydro 12 in the 3" rockwool? hmm... this is all the seeds I have so it's gotta work this time and be fruitful enough to provide 10 or so clippings per month between the two of them

Well, let's think about it...
Which plant do you want to make genetically identical copies of, for free, for as long as you want? The weakest one? Naw.
Your clone won't have roots (der) so you can take one from a hydro plant, for example, and when it pops roots put it in any medium you want--soil even (which is where I'd keep a mom for ease of long-term maintenance).
When you're ready to do it, I'd take clones from several of the plants that are looking the best at that time. Label them carefully so you know which clones came from which plant, and flower all the donor plants. Get to see the differences in the individual plants. (Looks already like there may be some big differences.)
Harvest them, and cure and sample the smoke. Decide then which, of the best of the best, you want to keep growing--after you see how it grows, and know how it smokes.
Wait a second, hold on here. Do you know if those plants in your Bloombox are female? Or the two in coco?
We may have something else to figure out...

nope, no clue yet... don't really know how to tell before flowering, and the problem I was thinking about with this setup is that the hydro ones will actually have a better chance of being female compared with the pots, one's being kept at 5.8Ph daily and the others just watered once a week.
ideas?
could sacrafice two of the flowering hydros to the coca. the fresh clones would take a little longer coming out of a flowering cycle, but you'd know they were female... hmmm, options.

smoked some herb, thought it through, got it figured. more pictures to follow, might be a week or two from now though.

If you are treating your coco plants like they're in soil, that is probably what's wrong with them.
Coco grows are hydro. You need hydro pH ranges and hydro nutes. pH 5.2-5.8 has worked well for me and colleagues.
Coco is intended to be watered differently than soil. Soil needs to dry out a bit between waterings--coco doesn't. In fact, if you let it dry out just a bit too much, your plants won't recover. Coco can be watered every day.

Some updates...
Killed the two in the coca, moved the best 9 into flowering, 3 remaining are still in the veg side hydro. The plan is to take clones off the best two or three as soon as it's possible to tell that they are female. Then move those newly named mothers back into veg side (coca) and replace their flowering spots with the ones currently left behind. I'd like to take 20 cuttings if possible, and have the moms rebound in 6 weeks.
