Yes he is turning out to be a bafoon and a mighty big one at that.

Giving billions of dollars of money to the money changers who screwed us up in the first place is completely stupid.

Literally everyday is another foot-in-mouth moment.....didnt Obama give the Emperor of Japan a blowjob on saturday night? Then followed it up getting lectured by the Commies in China for about 2 and a half hours on fiscal responsibility.

Doesn't sound like much of a liberal does he? Sounds more republican. Just another tool for the rich to help keep us lemmings in line.

i love the line "people make mistakes"

yet were talking about millions of dollars, so how many more of these "mistakes" were there, and what happened to the money that accidently went to the wrong places?

Last I remember, we had a pretty big deficit when O came into office. O won on the promise that he could correct it. We'd have 9.4% unemployment if we didn't do the stimulus. Well here we are over 10%.

If I recall, you don't fix a debt problem by creating more debt. I don't know how your check book works but that's how mine does.

That is part of the problem, Odrama has never balanced a checkbook or written a payroll check.

A couple points:

1.) TARP ($800 billion financial sector rescue package) was not given, it was a loan. The transaction was used as a debt for equity swap, or preferred stock option in the most troubled banks and financial institutions (Citi, BoA, AIG). Given the pennies on the dollar strike price in these contracts, the American taxpayer looks to make out like a bandit. The money will all be payed back....

2.) Stimulus package is a hot topic again. Due to the tax cuts being saved (or paying down debt), the majority of the stimulus (which is just finishing its major accumulation in the sovereign debt market) is ready to be unleashed. This equates to major building projects beginning at the end of the first quarter 2010, which should have a dramatic effect on US capital goods manufacturing as well as provide a major boost for consumer sentiment. But.... there is that talk that a second stimulus is all but necessary due to the massive 1 year spike in unemployment.

1: Gethner has already stated that they're not going to get a lot of the money back.
2: Dream on. Once inflation kicks in from the fed printing lots of worthless paper no one is going to able to afford to build.

My point exactly,, more debt to attempt to fix debt. It doesn't work.

Why put it off until 2010,, or is this just greasing the skids for the mid term election? Hmm?

OOhhh but wait.. Obama said he could fix it all with the first stimulous. So, that leaves ONLY two possibilities, He is either a liar or incompetent. He either lied to get the vote, or is so utterly incompetent that he didn't have the experience to see how bad things were from the Bush years. Can't have it both ways, it's one or the other.

Its really amazing to think of all the people out there still going against their own common sense for this guy.....

I hope like hell they call on that health bill to be read aloud on the senate floor.....38 hours it will take approximately....America deserves to hear this word for word....it will get laughed off the floor....and the DEMS KNOW IT.

Really? haha. Is it necessary to have a 2097 page bill? I mean how much wording does it take to say that you wanna give health care to people who cant afford it? I could only imagine how much shit will be (what's the real word for it?) tacked on to the bill by the conservatives on the smooth. Although i really don't know what im talking about. Im unemployed now from getting laid off as a machinist, and paying for my own health insurance. Although i don't have any debilitating problems so my insurance is $64.00 a month with a $2500 deductable, kinda shitty but it works. As i could understand it not being feasible for someone with cancer etc... So that does need to be fixed. I ride BMX, and accidents happen so that's why i have it. What needs to be done, is if you are employed by anyone from MCD'S, to NASA and work more than 32 hrs a week you should be able to get coverage at a reasonable price, especially people with family's. Either way this Mr. O guy is one indecisive dude, b/c he has waited 2.5 months to decide to employ 40,000 more troops and still hasn't made a decision and wont for another 2 weeks.

Ive also thought what is Canada doing? Don't they have general healthcare to everyone, it's just a lower quality, kinda like BC. to kush. Our healthcare is KUSH b/c people come here to get serious surgies done and new procedures that are on the forefront of medical research. So i dont know b/c im just babbling now and really want to go get this 'Christman kush' now. I hate when people make up strain names. STFU already. At least i haven't seen Xmas Kush nowhere.:smokin:

EDIT: All that lost money from the 800b stimulus is going to DUGWAY probably for UFO RESEARCH!!! ;)

Republicans and or conservatives were literally locked out of the deliberation room while the Bill was written....they even put a gaurd outside....Im sure if I did a search real quick on youtube I could post the video.

The only modest, middle road thing in this bill is the Stupak Amendment which does the common sense thing of blocking federal tax dollars to fund abortions. This is a big govt. takeover of the private sector plain and simple...power grab. Besides our VOLUNTEER army which is run internally....what does the govt. run that they dont fuck up? Medicare? Cause it's almost broke now...the DMV.....GET REAL.....Post Office...they are broke and dont even do santa letters anymore.

More Government is Never solution....it's the problem.

Its a tough problem. There are millions of poor and not so poor people out there that really need some sort of medical care and most of them would probably be in favor of this bill. But people have to look beyound the bill. Its too expensive and it violates the constitution. We already have a couple states that have a medical insurance program for the poor and I think most would be capable of doing the same thing and that doesn't violate the constitution.
I don't care about the abortion issue. I think there should be something included for abortions if it was done at the state level. But states should be able to decide that on there own.

The Bottom line is, Lets stop mutilating the constitution.

My point exactly,, more debt to attempt to fix debt. It doesn't work.

Nobody is attempting to "fix" debt. Demand has clearly shifted in a negative fashion as displayed in recent downward volatility in prices.

Why put it off until 2010,, or is this just greasing the skids for the mid term election? Hmm?

How long do you expect it to take to secure the capital via sovereign debt markets, appropriate, plan, and begin construction? Not something that happens over night.

Unemployment is a lagging indicator, and therefore has to be considered carefully when attempting to provide useful analysis. Things are just peachy compared to February.
