I have a 25 or 30lb co2 tank (not sure which) with an Optimum Growth regulator. I've had them for over a year and have had problems with them every once in a while. 2 weeks ago I got my tank filled and the gauge on the reg. said it had 1000 psi. Everything was going great until I woke up this morning and the entire tank was empty. This is not the first time this has happened. I haven't made any adjustments to it since setting it the day after the tank was filled and somehow it emptied 1000psi of co2 in one single night. Has anybody had a similar problem or have any idea of what my problem is? Kinda weird how the gauge doesn't move much for a couple weeks then one morning its completely empty when it was full the night before. Thanks.

the seals in your regulator are bad.take a full tank of co2,hook the regulator up like it was ready 2 run.instead of pluging it into a timer plug it right into the wall.listen and feel for any leaks.there really easy 2 take apart and repair.if i remeber right u want to buy polyurethane o rings if u need to.go to a co2 shop and ask them what kind rings they.those are the ones u want.

The regulator isnt really that old. I bought it brand new. But it is possible that it could have a factory defect. It'll be ok for a month or so, maintaining 950-1000 psi, then in a few hours it empties the entire tank down to 0 psi. Its plugged into a CAP3 atmosphere controller. When I go down to get the tank refilled maybe I'll take the regulator too and see if they can find anything wrong with it. Thanks

if it happends intermittently then your silonoid is bad. it could be sticking.it happends all the time and can happen after one use.take a couple of drops of 3 in 1 oil and run it through your system.it should free up.
