New Kid on The Block asking questions about "the right stuff baaaaaaby".....So im building a aero unit, trying to mimic the Aquamist I system and I really dig the sprinklers, but someone recommended I use a driphead because the spray heads get clogged easily...what do you guys think?

Hard work is my concubine. We call our children success stories. Bout to work on a daughter named Chrystal.

If ur doing aero there is no point in having any standard hyroponic system aside it. Aero promotes root hair growth, while regular hyrdo promotes tap roots. So if u do one the other is useless, and a drip system will over power an Aero system. Make sure u get a really good pump, about 150psi, and some good micro misters. You need to find aero friendly nutes that wont clog, or just keep an eye on them, one member suggested getting double the misters and swapping them out once a week and while the other soak and are cleaned.

Or was ur question which one to use? I prefer drip....for now. Because its so damn easy!! Aero growing can be a headache even for some one who knows the ins and outs of growing. So keep in mind the ease of grow between the two. It's up to u, but u'll learn quicker doing drip and gain alot of knowledge u need to do an aero system. Get ur feet wet, gain experience and knowledge and then attempt the advanced stuff that. Aeroponics can be very easy but u really need to know what ur doing. And simple sprinklers are not misters, U need to get the right misters, the ones that have a very low micron count. Some aeroponic systems are fake so watch out.

thanx Jack. I figure either setup with my 55K lumen HPS enhanced spectrum light will get it crackin in my armoire gbox. After watching the See More Buds 3 volume grow doowop, I started yearning for that aquamist.

Right though, if the drip is more low maintenance (I assume tis what you mean by easy) Imma go ahead and do the damn thang cuz I want a successful first crop with this bubblicious, so my daughter Chrystal and all her loyal subjects in cloneville will Superthrive....

any suggestions on a drip cycle?

well auctually they both clog, since they are the same design the only difference is how water is deliverd. if u run drip u dont really need drippers at all, only if your pump is really under powerd and u need that back pressure to compensate to the other feeder lines.i just built a dope 24/7 top feed drip /nft system and i will not be using any dripper heads this go around.if u do decide to go with either system that uses plastic drip/spray heads i suggest using 1/4 super flex tubing from a hydro store because if u need to pull them and clean em its 90% easier than using that hard line stuff. and they wont break when u pull them off.

Not maintenance, but procedure. U need to be prepared to do everything right the first time, or else ur gonna have a hell of a time. Drip or something similar will be more forgiving, and strait forward. And since u dont have nozzles that are prone to clogging maintenance will be down. Everything in hydro is pretty much amplified in aero including all the bad things.
